Hello WoT fans!

Hello! I'm brand new to WoT online fandom. I'm a little nervous.

 

I started reading the books in college. I had reached a lull in the fantasy series I was reading and asked for a recommendation from a guy nearby. He recommended the book he was reading - one of the Wheel of Time series. I eagerly bought the first book. That was probably in 1999 or 2000. I was expecting it to be a trilogy of books. LOL!

 

I was very happy with the series until I got to about book 8 or 9 and then I stopped reading for a long time. At one time I bought all the books and reread the series but still - though I owned them all - I don't think I got past book 9.

 

It wasn't until after I heard of Robert Jordan's death and the way they were continuing the series with Brandon Sanderson that I fully committed to rereading and actually reading until the end. I almost quit AGAIN after book 10. OUCH! but I weathered through and I'm so glad I did because books 11 and 12 were amazing.

 

Now that I'm all caught up I'm just bursting at the seams to gush about the series or at least read other people gushing about it. So I hope I have fun here lurking or chatting. Whichever happens.

It seems a lot of people feel that way about book 10 :)
