The order of threads is up the creek...

I believe you will all be able to see the new boards shortly.

However, the order of threads is up the creek. Something happened during the move. So feel free to bring the newer threads we were posting on before the move to the front.

All things considered, at least the boards look decent and run fast. So far, I am thinking when the bugs are worked out, a step up from 7.0.

EDIT: Also just read that the cause of this is due to two upgrades ago. They upgrade to SMF from phpp was easy as certain bugs were able to be hidden, but now those hidden bugs are suddenly exposed.

heres something that might be a little bit helpful :)

Tutorial for seeing Active Threads on Forums.

This will have to be saved for each board you frequent, as well as the sub-forums; atleast until the mods & admins fix the problem on the larger scale.

1. Scroll to the bottom the board page which lists all the threads; see picture below:

2. The will be an option called "Click here to show Filter Options". Right click on this to expand the feature selections.

3. The menu will expand to include the following options "Show Type" , "Sort by", "Sort Directions", & "Time Frame"; see picture below:

4. To show current/active threads imput the following info:

  • Show Type: Topics Open
  • Sort By: Order: Last Post
  • Sort Directions: Z-A
  • Time Frame: Show All

5. IMPORTANT!! remeber to check the box marked "Remember" to save the options for that forum! otherwise you will have to re-submit Filter options next time you visit the forum/subforum.

6. Click Go. and you should be set for that forum/subforum.

** method does not cover topics who show no name or date in reply section **

thanks to Minuet for the info :)
