A new character? 8)

 

All the Divs seem to be thriving at the moment what with new DLs, rp ideas, swishy boards....I really don't see why I shouldn't go get myself a new character. My only active one is my Accepted at the moment, so really- what are the upcoming "publicly" discussed rp plans of the various Divisions? For the smaller Divs- what are you really looking for? What needs the most drive at the moment?

 

Sell me anything.

I'm obviously going to have to plug my two favourite divs (well, favourites as in first amoung equals) - the Seanchan, and the Children of the Light.

 

The Kids of the Light have their spiffy super secret plot coming up soon which will make for some fantastic RP opportunities, but I would really like for people to join the Seanchan and help us out. We're only small and we're easing into the bigger RPs with a Seanchan Olympics coming up - details are on our boards. Once things are a bit more organised with the systems, I'll be talking to the staff about the Return and just who we're allowed to take over and collar all of their marath'damane and take back the lands that should be ours.

 

So I'd encourage anyone who is interested in playing with us to get in contact with me, or to join us down on our Discussion board and see how you like things. :)

*s* the dark side always looking for new recruits either directly to SG div or through other divs...there is a curent restructure of the system IC/OOC where the chosen gone from acting for themself or in couples to beeing in alliances..this means while an DF migth before serve one chosen they can now serve more..or of course non (as always)

 

for those with a litle creativety i am sure this can be used in RP some way (have thougth about it myself as well just hasnt landed on anything spesific yet)

Kaylan- I've been eyeing the Seanchan and CoL for a while now. Well, ever since they started thriving at any rate. I had a Damane called Zoe once when Sira was DL and the chanelling folk ruled the world.:P Maybe I could join with her again or someone else? Where do you need characters the most? I can't promise being active on the IC side though- I just thought I'd tell you now. OOCly though, I'm always around. :)

 

Ata- go check the Bio boards...Adela Llafynne is the newest kid on the block. Literally. ;)

 

And what are the spiffy raising systems? :P

I have created a town and a ranch in which DFs find sactuary, though the owners of the ranch are darkfriends, sanctuary is the key to their establishment. We currently have 5 PCs at the Ranch, and a few people who've said they wanted to come and others who said they've wanted to visit.

 

Currently going on at the ranch is an awesome RP involving FL and SG, where Darkfriends get to kill off a PC light fool. The RP is in process right now, but there is always room for more fun.

 

You can be of any division to visit, or live there, I'm open to anything, the more ppl to come play the more rp oppurtunity you will have.

I was trying to reply to this last night when my router unexpectedly died, so sorry about the delay in my reply.

 

We'd love to have you back as Zoe - at the moment our numbers are pretty low in all parts of the division, so anyone coming to join us is perfectly welcome! :) If you brought back Zoe, we could even have a bit of competition in the damane showcase in the Seanchan olympics. :D

Yep, that's me. :) I don't think I'd be playing with Zoe again but if I write up a Bio soon, I'll definitely let you know and join the SC Olympics.

 

Does anyone in the SC favour some plotting for their character and my future character? That way, it's more interesting and there are more chances to roleplay.

Personally, three divisions appeal to me the most. The first, (obviously, seeing as I'm part of the staff there), is SG. It's the only division where you can play a non-human with significantly different powers to a human.

 

It's got the whole DF going on, (And, it has to be admitted, being a DF is just like being a FL, but with evilness on the side), and being a Dreadlord is just plain awesome.

 

Second, I've got to plug the CoL, seeing as Ellorian and I are such good friends :D. In all seriousness, though, it's got a lot of SG-like qualities. It's probably the only division where you can do whatever you like in the name of the Light, and, when you get down to it, you're going to have a lot more fun hitting people with the pokers of the Light, and claiming they deserved it, then hitting them with the pokers of the Shadow, and then getting hit by the pokers of the Light for hitting people with the pokers of the Shadow. If that makes any sense whatsoever. I'd make a character there, except... Oh, right. Character limits are different now. Well, I might go make one right now!

 

Thirdly, the Freelanders are where it's at. Although they have no specified ways of advancing, the FL division is the one with the most creative license that you're allowed to take with your character.

 

However, if it's pure channeling goodness you're after, the WT/BT cannot be beat. If you're someone who thrives on the descriptions of the channeling in the books, that's where you should be.

 

If you're obsessed with sword forms, however, the BotRH or the Warders are probably the places for you.

 

In the end, though, it comes down to what you're looking for. SG has humour, mixed in with the fact that we're always going to be a part of major RPs (We'll always have the occasional exception, of course), seeing as we're the evil bad guys, which is something I found appealing. Plus, we have the only characters from the books, to boot!

 

Well, I hope that helped. If it didn't, and just made you more confused, use the tried and tested "Drink lots of carbonated beverages, pretend to be drunk, and then pick a division at random with your pretend blurred vision".

I'm up for plots between your future SC character and mine (animal handler), Ashara. I can't think of anything right now but I might be able to later.

 

The CoL are cool because of their variety. You get everything from actually good and noble people, to people who think they are good but do horrible things on a regular basis, to people who enjoy horribly torturing people to death.

The CoL do sound really cool, but I'm only write out a Bio for a Child after I'm done and dealt with Solindhre. I don't want to be overambitious..
