The end of TGS... (Spoilers!)

Hi all, quick question...At the end of TGS, when Rand goes through his big transformation, is that what Cadsuane was supposed to teach him? I mean, she may have done something indirectly, but it was still her doing. And if so, what is she supposed to teach the Asha'Man (sp)? They can't all be on that level that Rand is at...

I doubt it. Actually i dont even really understand what Cadsuane was even trying to do because its fairly clear she FAILED. I think Rands transformation came from within. Him and Lews Therin came together to have one last shot at making things right. The good ol' cheesy movie line.. although this time it isnt so cheesy :D

On the contrary, I think it was very cheesy. But back on topic, I think it's too early to speculate. Maybe we'll have a better idea after ToM. Right now, it doesn't seem that Cadsuane has taught anything to the AM.

Yea, it was cheesy, but i think it was awesome that he finally stopped being a total jackass! but yea, I don't remember her doing anything with the Asha'Man and am wondering if it's gonna be the same thing she will/has taught rand or if something else altogether

she's goign to teach the AM and Rand that it is ok to kill AS, that if they deserve death they should get it

She didnt fail at all. She perhaps didn't achieve it in the way she was meant to, but Tam was there as a last resort to bring out the humanity in Rand. And thats what it achieved exactly.

 

Anyway, Cadsuane means to teach the Asha`man (and Rand) that they need to be more then weapons to win TG. Or rather, they can't be only weapons like they have been forged to be. They need to embrace their humanity, to be able to laugh and cry and not be so hard. Because that sort of stuff won't be able to defeat the Dark One at all.
