What's up with Alivia?

Ok, so we all know that Alivia is destined to help Rand die.  I'm sure most of us have considered how she will fulfill this role but late last night, a thought occurred to me -- and I actually thought to write it down this time!!

 

First minor speculation that I'm sure has been discussed ad nauseam on the forums, but just humor me will ya?  Anyway:  What's up with Alivia?  Why is she so uncharacteristic of a traditional damane, particularly considering her age?

 

Now, about her role with Rand:  Maybe Alivia's role in helping Rand die will be indirect and not along the lines of, say, killing him straight out.  Prophesies and such never seem to play out the way we think they will, or at least never in a literal sense, so I wonder... How could she 'indirectly' help Rand die?  This is only speculation... just an idea to start the discussion:  I remember reading somewhere that Rand will have to break the remaining seals to the DO's prison to start the LB.  What if Alivia breaks them for Rand?  Or, what if she creates a gateway somewhere and throws Rand right into the DO's hands?

Or Moridin needs Rand alive to fulfill whatever scheme(s) he has going and takes an active role in preventing his death.  In the EotW Ishamael wanted LTT to know he was beaten before he died.  If he is telling the truth over the DO ending all existence that is really the only satisfaction he can have since he will not be able to perceive the end himself.  What will drive any of the forsaken really if there is nothing to conquer or rule.
