New to the site, and still relatively new to WoT. I began reading several months ago, and just finished the first couple of chapter of Fires of Heaven.

 

Introductions aren't my specialty, so sorry for the shortness. Once I get going and get acquainted I'm much better. So feel free to shoot me a message or whatnot.

My name is Eddie, and I began reading WoT about 3 years ago....I think. :D

 

If you're only into FoH, beware the discussions board! They are interesting, but you don't want spoilers!

 

Also, if you looking to get to know people, jump around the Social Groups, or even the RP section if you like to write and stuff.

I'll keep that in mind; I only found the site yesterday, and so I've just now been able to poke around and see what's what.

 

Oh, RP...it's been a long time since I've done that. But I always have enjoyed it, and I do enjoy writing about as much as I do reading. I might have to break out my rusty tools and see what I can do.

If you do, enjoy, but make sure you go through the proper people...I am not sure who those people are though. :D But, you can poke around the boards to see. :)

I don't know that I've ever been so up set about an author passing. I've only been so strongly influenced by one other author, and that was years ago.

 

I'm remember when I found a signed copy of Eye of the World, I couldn't believe it. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks here I'll be able to go an get my own copies of the books. Crossing my fingers.

I didn't even know about the series until...well within a few of RJ's passing. The only reason I found out (a whole year later almost!) is because I read Elantris and Mistborn, and wanted to know when the next book was coming out. I was...shocked and really sad.

 

DM is really a great site though. I didn't believe the fanbasee, it was crazy!
