Question on Moiraine

Judging from New Spring, she and Siuan have a real skill at finding out secrets.

 

Sometimes, I'm convinced that Moiraine is more of a Green than most Greens. She has dedicated herself to finding the Dragon and to fighting the Shadow. She does so by going out and investigating, digging up secrets and fragments to puzzle things out.

 

Here's something for you to chew on that you may have forgotten. She had seen the Green Man before Eye of the World. Someshta remembered her too. She could have spoken to him about the Age of Legends, The Breaking and all of the principle people of that time. Someshta could have told her many things, including what someone like Sammael might have looked like.

 

Sammael was after all, a great leader for the Light before he turned. The Green Man would have remembered the way he looks.

That's probably the best explanation I've heard. I had forgotten that she had been to the Eye before. Someshta would probably remember the Forsaken, even given his memory problems due to his injury.
