Let's learn more about our recently promoted fellow SGer:

Question 1: What is your favorite beverage?

Right now, its a Blue Moon with an orange twist, though you can't go wrong with a Fursty Ferret, unfortunately, you can't get them yet Stateside...

Question 2: What type of PC do you use?

Currently its a Lenovo T60 laptop running XP (down with Vista!) I didn't choose it, it chose me, it's my work machine, but I take it everywhere with me.

Question 3: what is your favorite book/series? (non WOT)

The Saga of Evil Series by Steve LaVista. It's a modern day, psuedo-vampire sci-fi series written by a college buddy of mine. Book 1 A Moment of Evil was published a few years ago and book 2 is incoming. It's an atypical vampire series, alot more like Blade where it goes into scientific origins and explanations rather than the occult, so these aren't your run of the mill kill them with a wooden stake or sunlight badies, you might not even classify them as vampires except for the fact that they're blood suckers.

Question 4: When you aren't in Shayol Ghul, what do you do in your spare time?

Spare Time, what's that? I haven't had spare time since February...  In any case, what I do like to do for fun is gaming, PC and console, though mostly for the Wii.  (Just secured my copy of Beatles RockBand!) I used to spend alot of time playing poker, both on line and in person. I've also dabbled in music and writing, mostly poetry but there's been some short stories and non-fiction as well. Most of all, I'm a tech geek.  You find me a gadget, and I'll be occupied for hours...

Question 5: Why did you choose the Dreadlords as your initial faction?

Cause Gerr and TMD are so effin' badass...

Nuff Said

Question 6: What is your favorite Thakandar Game?

Haven't been there in a while.  It used to be the one where everyone would have to write a story involving a member using a list of words generated by the Ghulies.  I can't remember what it's called...

Question 7: What is your favorite method of torture?

Psychological, period, the end. Physical torture is for amateurs and mindless beasts. Getting inside someones head and messing with their fears and emotions is an art and a science.  There's always a limit to how much physical pain a subject will ever have. Once you reach the limit, the subject either dies or passes out. Physical pain is also typically finite. Physical wounds heal or if they are mortal wounds, the pain ends with death. Psychological torture can last a lifetime and beyond. When we leave this plane of existence, our bodies are left behind, our psyche's are the only thing we can take with us, and that, will last forever...

Question 8: What advice do you have for all of the Lightful's out there?

Gerr doesn't smell, Roka is all knowing, Demi is Nude remember these things, and you just might live to see tomorrow.

Question 9: Tell us a little about yourself.

I'm a System's Integration Specialist at a Tier 2 University and I love it. Sure there are some days that work sucks and everything blows up in your face, but that's why they pay me. Nothing like the adrenaline rush when an entire system goes down and you have a time line to get it up and running else your whole team is up the river without a paddle, lol.

I like traveling and learning about other people and cultures. People and civilization fascinate and bewilder me on a daily basis. Just when you think you've got life figured out, somebody hits you over the back of the head with a monkey wrench.

If you know anything about me, you should know I'm a film buff.  I studied film in college. Film is a collective social commentary, everyone involved puts their own perspective into telling a story, using the senses of sight and sound and it always inspired me.

On that note, to anyone who hasn't picked a major yet, might I suggest taking something that interests you.  Unless you already have a career in mind that requires you to follow a specific course track, like Law or Medicine, it really doesn't matter what you major in. Take classes you enjoy.  If you take courses you hate, you're going to dread going to class, and there's so many distractions in and around campus life, you're not going to exceed in anything you don't want to do.

I'm a film student who works in Information Technology. My course track has nothing to do with my job, I had the knowledge to perform my job before I stepped foot in a college classroom. Bachelor's degrees are preps for people who want to get advanced degrees and for everyone else, it's just to get your foot in the door at a job interview. No one cares about your major or your GPA unless you want to be highly specialized, so just enjoy ever aspect of college life.

Question 10: Where else do you hang out on DM?

The BT mostly, occasionally I'll pop in on the tinkers or the Chan to rile people up

Question 11: What is your favorite WoT book?

Can't beat book 6 and Dumai's Well.  That was the craziest battle scene ever to bedevil the days of man!

Question 12: Anything that wasn't asked here that you want to tell us about yourself?

I think I embellished enough on the other questions.  I'm just glad that Football Season is here because Baseball Season ended for me in May...
