Who has the makings of a hero?

 

Does anyone think they have a skills and the mind to do what our Hero's from the Two Rivers have done?

 

Or do you know anyone that does?  ;D

hero as in Hero of the Horn, or hero as in someone who goes around saving people?

 

If the former, I take that the Pattern decides them and that the deciding factor would be need.

 

If the later, almost any character might be.  Mat could be because of his saving Elayne/Egwene/Nynaeve when they were at Tear; and also because of his rescuing the Aes Sedia (and Windfinders) at Ebou Dar; the gholam incident in Crown of Swords could be another.

Perrin could also be because of his saving Two Rivers from the Trollocs & Whitecloaks.

Thom might also be because of the events he told that he did (before the series).

 

Two Rivers people, I guess you are referring to the scene at Dumai's Wells.
