Nicola's CoT Foretelling/Foretellings about Rand

Changed my mind about a number of the 9 things; though those are Gathering Storm spoilers.

I posted them in the Gathering Storm section. Would post them here when Gathering Storm content is allowed.

could happen:

heal death

body swap/merge with moridin

seal/kill dark one

using Mats cannons

his school perfecting some invention(steam engine perhaps?)

rediscovering song

 

and anything else I guess, who knows it is impossible after all

 

P.S. Is their any additional information on shock lances in the BWB?

Found just this sentence::

Shocklances and other tools of long-distance destruction were built along with suitable body armor.

From http://linuxmafia.com/jordan, I found out that Nicola foretold that the Dragon Reborn would do 9 impossible things but does not identify those things.

This thread is to speculate what those 9 things will be.

 

Some guesses:

-Heal death or at least put life into a dead body

-Clean the Ways maybe with getting rid of Machin Shin

-Do actual flying with the One Power

 

 

Get involved with three women at once, have them all know about one another and be okay with it?

 

That's certainly got to be up there...

The probability of Nicola foretelling that would depend on when they discovered that Nicola had Foretelling.

The passage in Crossroads of Twilight tells that the Foretellings started when they discovered it.

Someone help me out, but at the end of TSR after Rand has defeated Asmodien Rand cut his ties to the DO that protected him from the taint. When Rand tells Lanfear what he did, doesn't she say something like "I thought that was impossible". Sorry if I am grossly mistaken and have wasted your time and mine but if I had the book in front of me I would check it out. But I don't so there it is.

As promised, here are the ones I was thinking about::

-Rand breaking cuendillar (Gathering Storm Chapter 22)

-Rand channeling (what the Forsaken call) the True Power (Gathering Storm Chapter 22)

-Rand regaining his sanity (Gathering Storm Chapter 50)

That scene was long before Nicola foretold the Foretelling/Foretellings.

Those actually seem possible especially within this series.

And those seemed to occur before the Foretelling/Foretellings.
