Mimicking the Ta'veren effect

If I remember rightly, it is possible to mimic the Ta'veren effect with the Power. Was it Ishamael/Moridin that mentioned it? I have been wondering when/if we will see this used. How great would it be if Rand and Moridin fought, and Moridin duplicated the effect of Ta'veren during said battle?

Here's a crazy thought. We all know that Osan'gar and Demandred have supposed to have been watching Rand, however we haven't seen a glimpse of Demandred for a long time. Sammael also mentioned that "the events to the south" sounded like Demandreds doing.

What if Demandred is behind Masema and the Dragonsworn? What if Demandred has been using the Ta'veren weave on Masema aal this time? Ive always thought Masema changed very abruptly, which I have no problem with; we heard about the Prophet, and I thought it was a good twist that it turned out to be someone we already knew. Yet since he became the Prophet I find it very strange how events around him progressed. Its obvious he is a madman, not only to us readers but even to other characters, so why would anyone listen to what he said, let alone a queen and Aes Sedai? I find it unlikely that he would have gained such a big following and followers of such high status, surely somebody would have killed him. He is a single man, and not a channeler as far as anyone knows, so how on earth has he ended up being in the position of power he is in?

Dont get me wrong, I am not attacking the plot line or saying I dont like it, and Im not saying theres anything wrong or that its unlikely in a bad way, just speculating. It IS a good plot line as it is, but I wonder if there is anyone pulling strings here, and I think if Demandred was behind it I would be satisfied for not seeing him enough. Demandred was originally my favorite Chosen, until Moridin turned up

I believe that Ishamael had the ability to locate a ta'veren. I don't think that there is a weave that can temporarily invoke 'ta'vereness'.  That would be a sham. Imagine making the DO ta'veren!

The Prophet gained power by gaining many followers. Many of them do not care about the Dragon, I guess. They see a way to get food/wealth without doing hard work. That would draw any begger. But many ARE devoted to the Dragon and since Masema talks of the Dragon like he was the Creator, these people would go to him indeed.

He had a large number of dragonsworn behind him. Any King/Queen would fear that. Since he is like some sort of religious symbol, the Queen has to give a certain amount of respect. The queen was able to avoid bloodshed by being humble there.

Just look at history: How many religious people have caused trouble for authorities by creating many followers and possibly rebellions?

The Talent for mimicing the effects of ta'veren has been both mentioned by RJ, and is spoken of in the Guide--but to date no character as spoken of it, or displayed an ability with it.

Also, RJ mentioned that it can only be reproduced to a small degree. It's doubtful anyone could come near to creating what even Mat or Perrin cause, much less Rand.

Wasnt there a a ter'angreal that mimics the effects of tav'eren in a small area.  i think either the black ajah have it or it was one that aviendha found from ebou dar.  I think thats where i heard it before...but I could just be making shit up...I do that sometimes.

Ditto. I blame it on the Taint.

Seriously though, its definitely possible to mimic the effects, I wonder why nothing has been seen of it so far
