Hey Everyone

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone out there. I'm what is apparently called a 'newbie' here in the forums. It really all has me a little confused, but I thought it might be a good time to learn how to actually use my computer.

 

A little about myself... obviously I'm no computer/forum/lol/avatar/blog expert, but I'm willing to learn. I enjoy short walks to the kitchen, music from anyone with 'Marley', 'Marvin', or 'The' in the title, sunrises as seen on the Weather Channel, and a cold Dr. Pepper while reading this wonderful series. I'm also a football player that happens to read. I get plenty of ridicule for reading the Wheel of Time books before games, but I've been doing the same for more than twenty years and I don't plan on stopping.

I'm a Pepper too - have you ever had <a href="http://www.dublindrpepper.com/">Dublin Dr. Pepper</a>?  It's made with real sugar, and is to die for.

 

If you like music, the Band of the Red Hand Org is a pretty good place to stop by (and I wanted to beat Corki to the punch, 'cause it makes me laugh).  Otherwise, I'd say wander around and see what suits.  There is a little bit of everything, from general socialization, blogs, role-playing, and everything in between to suit all tastes!

 

So yeah, in short - be welcome and make merry!

Dont worry about not being upto date on forum speak. I am relatively new (compared to the old fogie below .. hee he just joking!  ;D ) and found that the best way to learn is to ask! as for Orgs (organisations) the wolfkin is always good for banter if you wasnt to pop by. Our main focus is nature but tequila and chilli are always hot topics too!

Hey! Welcome, The One (you might want to concider giving us something else to call you by ;D ) It is indeed unique to meet someone who likes both reading books like WoT and playing football, but all the better for you! :D Well, since the BotRH has been shamelessly promoted, I'll put in my two cents (for all that it's worth). One great thing about DM is the variety it offers. The community side is full of fun and excitement, and you can also come over to us RP divisions if Role Play is more your style. Just check stuff out and see what suits you. :)
