Hidden Monarchs

Has anyone else noticed that we have several monarchs or leaders, who are disguised, lost or otherwise (apart from to us the readers) unaccounted for?

 

There is Amathera, the panarch of Tarabon, whom we know to be the timid and scared 'Thera' - a da'covale whom Juilin fell in love with and took with him when they fled Ebou Dar. Mat and his party know her real personality but she is not where she belongs.

 

Morgase - the obvious one.

 

Tuon - to an extent Tuon is 'unaccounted for'. We know where she is and certainly Mat and his party know but at my point in the books (early in book 10) she's lost as far as the Seanchan and the rest of the world are concerned.

 

Alsalam - we know him to be in the hands of Graendal, one of her 'pretties'.

 

Tylin is dead.

 

Do you think there is any significance to the fact that they are all alive, but missing?

 

It strikes me that all of these nations, with the exception of Andor/Morgase - and we know her flight was directly associated with a Forsaken, Rahvin - are southwestern. Didnt the prophecy say that the 'south and the west' must be as one?

 

I wondered if anyone thought there could be any correlation between them, or if it is purely coincidental and down to the fact that Amathera and Tylin disappeared (granted Tylin is dead) because of the Seanchan? I know you're going to say that Tylin died because of Mat and because the Gholam was looking for him but if it hadnt been for the Seanchan, he wouldnt have left when he did, she wouldnt have been bound and gagged and would likely never have come face to face with the gholam.

I think it's coincidence only.

 

Plus,  Arad Doman is in the north west part of Randland;  and Thera won't even try to take the Panarch's throne again, I believe - only if Juilin is made the King of Tarabon :) ; and there's another king accounted for, but later in the books.
