Guylian Praline

I went to the shops earlier, after going to the park with a good friend of mine. I decided, whilst in the shop, I would buy a chocolate bar, since I've not had one in ages. Seeing the Guylian Praline bar, I thought I'd try that since..well I like smooth, creamy chocolate.  ;) It seemed it would be. So I shall share my opinion on this chocolate bar with you all now.

 

The Guylian Praline chocolate bar would be expected to have a creamy taste; being a praline. This assumption is incorrect. Alas, the chocolate tasted no creamier than a Freddo bar.

Not only was it not creamy, it had a sort of..what I can only describe as a harshness to it.  :-\ I was really dissapointed with this chocolate bar. Then again, it explains the price; 60p.  ::)

However, I do like the way they put two types of chocolate into it--white chocolate and milk chocolate. Well..the wrapper is pretty, too.  :-\

 

So anyway. I advise against this particular chocolate bar. Go for the Kinder Bueno bar. Much, much better, and tastier.

Only good chocolate bar i know of is Snickers...i don't think they have those kind of bars over here in the U.S. if they do then i REALLY NEED to get out more. But i don't think so  :-\

Guylian chocolate is a bit overrated in my opinion, though I'm not sure a comparison to a Freddo bar is hugely insulting. Freddo Bars are pretty good and when you have £1 to spend on sweets, it should be high on the shopping list. Though Tazes were better with the gooey caramel in the centre. Mmmm...

 

On the other hand, I would happily live on a diet of Kinder Bueno. But the moral of the tale is don't be fooled by relatively cheap yet posh looking chocolate. ;)

And the Freddo bar, it wasn't meant as particularly insulting; they're good for 10/20 p :D I'm just saying that they're not very creamy either, thus comparing them.

"Kinder Bueno", is it? That sounds an awful lot like a strange blend of German ("kinder" = "children") and Spanish ("bueno" = "good").

 

So, the creators are being multilingual in their suggestion to kids that they be good in order for their parents to be obligated to buy them chocolate bars?

I have never tried that particular bar, but usually Guylian makes very good chocolate.

Never heard about that freddo bar, but the name hints at it not being belgian, and thus I will never try it even if I see it.
