The movie rights to "John Dies at the End", that retarded horror novel I'm constantly peddling have been purchased by  Don Coscarelli, the dude who adapted "Bubba Ho Tep" for the screen.

You can read all about it at Fangoria. http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=5950

And you can read JDATE for FREE at www.johndiesattheend.com

From Amazon:

It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't.

Jelly, it's definitely an R rated book. There's LOTS of violence, swearing, sex, etc.  About the level of a Stephen King book, I'd say.

Tenshin, I'm curious how it'll play out as a movie too.  It's a not a LONG book, so they could probably do it without cutting much out. Or they could just adapt one of the stories Dave tells Arnie. If it was a sure fire hit, then they could produce a trilogy that way. But I doubt they'd do that.  But yeah, half the charm of this book is in the writing. It's like Hitchhiker that way. It's hard to translate that to film.
