Role in the Group

Anyone who's ever played a multi-person RPG such as Dungeon Siege or Baldurs Gate will know that normally you have several characters, and each have a specific role in the group. So you'll have the 'fighter', the 'magician', the 'thief' and so on.

 

What role do you think each of our main characters / nations play in WoT?

 

I was thinking along the lines of determining the following;

 

Rand

Mat

Perrin

Seanchan (on the whole)

Aiel

Aes Sedai

Thom

Asha'Man

[Ahaz Flagg]

Rand    Arch Mage           

Mat    Hunter type

Perrin  Tank

Seanchan (on the whole)

Aiel      Barbaiarns

Aes Sedai  Healer/Battle Priest

Thom      Thief

Asha'Man  Mage

 

To many types of Seanchan to put them as a whole.

I can imagine the conversation;

 

(RAND) "No you can't be at the front!! We're at the front, this is my army, not yours! Oh, wait... hang on yeah you can be at the front, I'll go somewhere near the back, behind all the big guys."
