How long ago did Cadsuane go into 'retirement'?

Sometime before Aiel war. She then re-retired after Aiel went back across the Dragon wall- soon after the events of New Spring.

So in terms of a number, how many years since the first time, and again since the second?

If Rand is 22 now then second time about 21 1/2 years prior to end of KOD. First time, I don't think we are given an exact date but aonsiderable time period I want to say another 20 years but I don't have the quote where it was mentioned at hand, so I do not recall if the additional 20 years period is actually mentioned or I just got that impression.

Ah ok no worries, I was actually wondering if it was around say, 70 years, if Verin could have anything to do with Cadsuane. Guess not!

You might remeber that little scene where Verrin was ready to poison Cadsuane.  :)

Its ok dont worry, i have actually read 8 and 9 once before, and about half of 10 but i realised i couldnt remember the plot when book 10 came out so i went back to the beginning.

 

As RAW once said on a thread i read - anyone who comes on here and reads the posts deserves to find out things that happen in the future!!

I'm in book ten, the part where Verin thinks of poisoning Cadsuane was in the firs half of book ten but I read through it like five times and can't figure out exactly what Caddy said that convinced Verin not to kill her.
