Hello everyone.  I'm new here....again. (i forgot what my username was when i was registered here before....its been THAT long)  I made it about half-way through the books before and was gonna start over, but then found out that Robert Jordan died last month.  I know that the final book hasnt been released, so does anyone know when or if the final book will be coming out?  thanks for the help.

This is not yet known. RJ did complete the book to Harriet before he died, and she has all of his notes, so the possibility of it being finished is there. Its entirely up to his family still though, as this is a very rough emotional situation for them. He does want it finished though, he has prepared it so it can be done.

Yes the last book will be completed. Harriet, RJ's wife and editor, found a man to finish writing the book back in December of 2007. His name is Brandon Sanderson, he's the author of such books as the Mistborn trilogy and Elantris. You can go to his website at www.brandonsanderson.com he also has a blog at mistborn.livejournal.com He's been actively writing the book since about March, he's so far written 320,000 words. His estimate is that it's only about half way for the final book. He's going to finish the entire rough draft in one go rather then write two seperate books, but it appears that AMoL will be published in two volumes. The first is due out in the Fall or Winter of 2009, with the second volume in spring of 2010. He's so far finished the Rand and Perrin theaters of action, and is writing Egwene's theater now. You can find out a lot more at the websites or in the News section of dragonmount.

Yup, that's what they mean.  They'll want it out in time for Christmas.  Generally when they say "Winter" they mean late November to early December. "Fall" means late October to early November.
