IC: Packing her things, Veria was excited at having a new mentee. Her other mentees wee doing well and practically independent. She smiled as she left the Library and headed to the Kitchens. The day was a little cool and made Veria shiver. It was days like these that made Veria excited to be a full sister….she would finally be let in on the secret of how to ignore the weather!

Arriving at the kitchens she ordered some food…Roasted Pork and potatoes, Bread, cheese and olives and mulled wine. She wanted to make it a night to remember. On she went to the gardens to see her patch of ground. It had gone through many changes over the years..but was now a rose garden. She had tended and loved this earth ever since she started to work it. Taking her clippers out of her pouch and snipped a few stray vines. Inspecting her flowers she grinned. It had taken a couple of years to get the flows right but she finally coxed them to flower in the ajah colors. Picking two young and fresh blooms she slipped them carefully. Replacing her clipper in her pouch she stood and stretched. It felt good to be in her garden feeling the earth.

Calling a few greeting to friends that past she headed to her rooms. The accepted gallery was quite at this time, most were eating in the dinning room. There were tapestries of nature scenes and old monarchs from ages past. The few lit lamps cast shadows in the halls where the suns rays could not reach. Turning the corner, she came to her room. Veria was lucky to have the room she did. It was a corner room which meant plenty of windows and a view of the court yard where her garden was located. It was simple but she liked it and was comfortable there.

Entering she hung up her cloak and pouch. Placing the blooms gently on her dresser she set to tidying up and creating more space. She laved out a blanket and pillows on the floor for sitting. Once she was done and happy with the effect she took the flowers from her faded red dresser.

Concentrating on the blossoms, she opened herself to the source. Weaving a fine net of spirit she laid it on the flowers one by one. Looking to see if she had done it right..She tried again this time with a little thickness to the weave. This time it was done right…she smiled and placed the roses on the girls appointed pillows. As she straightened up she heard a knock at the door.

“Come in please…who is it?”

OOC: ok girls…come and join me!

Dre managed to get herself and Kirsa lost once. She kept forgetting that the tapestry of Lord Wyvers surrendering himself to be gentled from back during the Ten Nations was not the same as the tapestry depicting the fall of a nation none of the people she'd asked had any notion the name of.  Wyvers had been riding a donkey. You'd think she'd remember that.

Finally though she led them to the correct door and knocked.

“Come in please…who is it?”

Dre opened the door and poked her head in.

"It's me Accepted, Dre, and I've brought Kirsa with me like you asked."  Opening the door she let Kirsa in then followed, closing the door behind her. "While we were on our way another Novice found me with a message that you'd gotten my chores for tonight cancelled so that I could help you get Kirsa settled in. Thank you," Dre said with a smile. "It's always good to get time off from chores."

Kirsa followed Dre in her usual graceful, flowing stride. They got lost but found Veria's room the second time. Kirsa could only be grateful they hadn't got lost more times, knowing she would have. When they entered the room, Kirsa gazed around, absorbing everything in the room. Her eyes rested curiously on the two roses, wondering why they were there. She then faced Veria with a large smile to show her thanks at having someone to show her around. Kirsa was some one that learned through practice, not being shown once and it was down.

IC: AS the girls entered her room, Veria smiled at them. Waving them in she directed them to the cushions on the floor.

“Please be comfortable. Dinner is on its way.” Giggling at their looks Veria sat.

“I want us to get to know each other. An’drea and Kirsa, you are both new here..I want to be able to help if you need it. An’drea I know you have your own mentor but if I’m around and you need something let me know. Kirsa, I hope we can be friends and help each other grow. As your mentor I’ll be teaching you and guiding you here in the tower. You will be expected to apply your self and learn as much as possible.”

Making sure the girl understood…she continued…

“The flowers you have were grown by me. I have tended them for many years and have made them so they grow with the Ajah colors. Kirsa you may not know yet but there are seven ajahs each with there own philosophy and way of life. Come the first lesson I teach you I will expect a short summery on each ajah and what they stand for.”

A knock at the door made Veria turn her head and she stood. Brushing her skirts she stepped to the door. The dinner had arrived.

"The flowers are very beautiful," she said gazing at them.

She then chose the cushion facing the door. She picked up the rose and twirled it in her fingers never drawing a drop of blood. Her eyes turned to the doors as Veria went to answer it.

Dre hopped up from her cushion as Veria answered the door and a serving woman stood there with a cart holding their food. She went over to the door to help bring the food in and gestured for Kirsa to do the same. It never hurt to get on the good side of an Accepted by helping. Together the two girls helped Veria set up the dinner, then Dre studied the flowers that Veria had pointed out, fascinated by them.

"These flowers are beautiful Veria. It must have been difficult to get them to grow like this." She paused, toying with the green rose, then continued. "What do you have planned for Kirsa tonight?  Anything I can help with?"

IC: Smiling at An’drea…Veria handed over the trays of food and took the pitchers from the servant. With thanks and a coin in the servants palm she closed the door. Setting the Pitchers on a small stubby legged table, Veria sat down and made herself comfortable.

Passing out plates she indicated to the girls that they were free to serve themselves. Taking a blue lacured and chipped plate, Veria placed roasted mutton, cheese and bread on her plate. Sitting back against her bed she took a bite in her bread which she dipped in the grease from the meat. After she had swallowed she asked…

“So girls Please tell me where your from, how old you are and a little about yourselves.”

OOC: please tell Veria about yourselves.

Dre fixed herself a plate of food and slowly began to eat along with Veria and Kass.

“So girls Please tell me where your from, how old you are and a little about yourselves.”

Dre thought for a moment, thinking with a smile about how many times she'd answered those question in her short time in the Tower.  Finally she responded.

"I'm 16, and I'm from Kandor. I come from a small village not too far from the Blight. close enough that raids were not uncommon.  I came to teh Tower because I was tired of seeing the trollocks slaughter and not be able to do anything about it."

Kirsa smiled at Dre as she spoke. There was a pause afterwards as Kirsa thought on what to say.

"I'm fifteen and from Arad Doman. My mother is a merchant and I was supposed to follow in her foot steps until an Aes Sadei saw that I could channel," Kirsa said her smile not touching her eyes.

IC:  The girls seemed a little nervous, either that of they were secretive.  Smiling inward, Veria understood. She would not want to give too much away at a first meeting either.  Popping a piece of cheese in her mouth, Veria refilled her wine glass.

“I am from Amadacia…I know quite a funny place for me to be from. My family lived in Andor when I was born and then moved to Amadacia at my father insistence.” A flood of sadness came over her, pushing it down she continued…” I came to the tower on my own at the age of 14 and have been here ever since. I have been an accepted for about 8 years now. I have taken an interest in weapons training and have been doing it for about 6 months now; I’m learning the whip and throwing knives.”

Taking a sip of her wine to wet her throat she asked…

“So what do you girls expect to do and learn during your time here in the tower?”
