What was Alviarin doing at Tremalking?

Upon returning to the White Tower, Alviarin took care to dust off the red dirt from her feet, which was only found on Tremalking.  This was in CoT, after saidin was cleansed.  Could Alviarin have had anything to do with the sa'angreal's destruction?  Or the death of the peoples out there?

Well, those people (the Amayar) committed collective suicide after the female Choedan Kal melted. I think maybe Alviarin was just investigating it.

It seems unlikely Alviarin was checking in on the Amayar. More probably she was simply looking in on the state of the Choedan Kal, probably at Mesaana's behest.

That would have been my guess as well. Knowing whether or not the most powerful sa'angreal in existence still works is a good thing, especially when your enemy holds the key to it. Now Mesaana knows that the CK for women is toast, big enemy weapon down.

That's what I meant. I guess I wasn't very clear on that though.
