Horn of Valere and "True Power"

Seeing as how the Heroes are partly in this world and partly in the World of Dreams, I think it highly unlikely that the True Power would be able to affect them.  However, the True Power would definitely be able to harm those who called the Heroes, and I'm thinking that when the Horn-sounder goes down, the Heroes would go with him.

Not that, that matters as Mat will sound the horn, and he is guaranteed not to die at TG....

Thats guarented as I read somewhere that RJ has plans for a one shot with Mat and Tuon that takes place 10 years after AMOL.

(Off topic) I like that siggy your using T.D.R but Star Trek XII will have new young actors playing the original characters with as far as I know only Nimoy reprising his role as Spock for a few sceens of Spock in his old age in the Picard Era.

He does not have plans to actually right such a book so I wouldn't consider it a guaranteed get out of jail free card for Mat.  I have read somewhere that Mat and Tuon are one of several ideas he has had for an outrigger novel but they are nothing more than ideas.  Right now I'm not certain where he specifically mentioned Mat and Tuon as all I can find on the subject are he following.

I’ve said frequently that I wouldn’t write in this universe again once tWoT was done unless I had a really great idea. I may – I say again' date=' may — have had such an idea. I have to poke at it for a year or two to see whether it’s strong enough. If it is, I’ll do two or three “outrigger” novels following some of the characters on another story arc. If it isn’t strong enough, then I’ll let it die a quiet death.[/quote']

For various folk' date=' I will write the two additional prequel novels eventually, but I can’t say exactly when. If the idea I have for the outrigger novels proves strong enough to actually do those, I’ll probably do them first if for no other reason than they would be more complex and thus, to me, more interesting.[/quote']

I actually had no idea that they were doing another Startrek movie, it's actually a quote from the Simpsons that I always thought was really funny...

Regarding possible deaths in aMoL, call me naive if you will but I don't see RJ killing off any of the main married characters. (Lan may be an exception though) But that's sheer personal opinion.

So there you have it. Oh, finishing A Memory of Light, of course, and getting started on Mat and Tuon, and some others, five to ten years after the Last Battle. Those go without saying. Not a bad plan for the coming year, eh?
