Well, I’ve been a recruit in the White Tower for a few weeks now, and I’d like to think that with my 300-plus posts I’ve made at least some kind of contribution to your — or rather, our — community. The responses and comments, however, have been rather thin on the ground, to put it mildly. This makes me wonder whether my posts were truly so dull and forgettable that they failed to spark any reaction at all, and whether it still makes sense to keep pondering ever more “interesting” topics. I’m not quite sure. Then again, it may simply be that the currently active ranks on Dragonmount have dwindled to such an extent that the number of interested readers has become almost negligible. Ah well — time will tell.

I dunno Caelan. The WT is a social group and we chat and hang out. Some times it's silly sometimes more serious, but we do try and respond. I responded to you in the Blues and I can see other responses and so on. We do like to be social

 

Most of your posts are on the discussion boards. Some WT members visit there but not all of us. 

 

I guess I'm trying to say some people like their niche areas and tend to keep their posts there. 

 

But it'd great that you're so active and I can see you've got a lot of thoughts. Myself... the Book Discussion forum is a bit off base for me. I do feel brave enough to post in the TV show forum sometimes.

 

Other than that it's mostly WT for me 🙂

@Caelan Arendor I've seen most of your posts, I think, and many of them have been very thought provoking and interesting. 

 

It saddens me that you think people are not responding to them, because I see that people do, on the whole. I'm not sure if there's something on your settings that must be changed so you become aware of these responses to your posts. For instance, did you see Ithillian's post between your opening post and my answer here? Because you have not responded to her post.

 

Also bear in mind that there are different sections to Dragonmount, and many of them do not overlap. 

 

We have the "Getting Started" area right at the top, which is where you posted this thread of yours. This is not the White Tower - that is further down the board.

 

Next we have the "Community Forums", which contain the discussion areas for in-depth Book or TV discussions, amongst other things.

 

Below that is the "Community Organisations", where you will find our Social Groups based on the Wheel of Time Books - like the White Tower, Black Tower, Band of the Red Hand, Shayol Ghul, etc. This is where we connect with people in a formalised social way, in groups who's philosophies are loosely based on their namesakes in the books. Ie, we like to act like we're Aes Sedai or something 🙂

 

This is not to be confused with the Roleplay area, which is below that.
