Need some help as I didn't see episode 6 and am a bit confused by the conversation.  See if I have this correct:

  • Siuan says to Moiraine - On your knees.
  • This is in context to Moiraine's 'banishment'

Is that correct?  People seem upset about it, but it is not clear why for me.

If I have the above correct, I would be upset because Siuan is stealing Rand's line from after Dumai's Wells.

But it is very possible I'm missing something or have the context wrong.

Thanks.

Not exactly.

Siuan tells Moiraine to get on her knees to publicly humiliate Moiraine in the Hall.

Later, when they are having private time, Moiraine tells Siuan to get on her knees. On this occasion, it carries a sexual innuendo.

I think people have their feathers in a twist about the latter of these two instances.

As Elder said "On your Knees" is during the first visit to the Hall where as Moiraine's exile happens during the second visit.
