Offsite boards???

ARe you going to keep using them. You've not had any public posts for several months, and if you aren't going to be using them regularly I'd like to remove them as the less I have to update the less holes in security I have.

 

If you do plan on using them do can I remove the aiel.aliciawilkerson.com and just use www.aliciawilkerson.com/aiel the former is causing problems that I cannot resolve with out removing subdomains.

Well considering how small the division is I doubt that the offsite boards will be used anytime soon. As of current we used them as an archive to store in formation about the division and to store bios

If you are still using it for storage I can leave it. However can you cut out all the things you aren't using?

 

If all you are using it for is to host information a message board system isn't what you need, you need a content management system. I can provide this instead. It will require you to move information, but it should be just cut and paste unless alot of BBcode is used.

I'd say no, not as a place to chat and such, but I the other information would be good to keep just for a bit until we can find a new place for it. But thats not my call, so you'd have to as Ghaul about that one.

I've talked with him several times and told him various options.  The boards will either have to be moved to DM or another type of system set in place which I have also discussed with him but I won't make the initiative again.  If ya'll want the site I'm happy to host it but it's not my job to anticipate what you need what is happening to your site etc.  You need to tell me what you want.

  Those boards are not used, they are used as a storage. I remember you mention something about a specific format for storage, but I can not recall any details

It would be far better to store all bios/inforamation in wordpress and not a messaage board.  Message boards are clumky and spam magnents.  A closed website with only limited availblity for a few ppl to edit is the best solution for storage.  If that is what you wish then I can set up a wordpress site, and help you transfer over the information as well as teach you how to use it.  Arie will also be able to help you with wordpress.
