A quick post to give the latest news from the Band of the Red Hand Social Group.

The Band of the Red Hand Social Group is the process of returning everything back to DM after many years away. As a result, you will see a lot more new boards (both public and private for members of the Band). The move back means many new activities within these boards, which are transferring across from our off board site (which, indecently, is being locked and used for archive purposes).

Direwolf Jon stepped down as Under-Commander during February. That meant the Band needed a new member amongst the Senior Staff. Jeannaisais moved up to Under-Commander and 2iC of the Band. And I am now pleased to announce that F Horn of Valere is returning to the Senior Staff of the Band. He will be in charge of the Raw Recruit Scheme and helping our new members find their feet in the Social Group. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the Band and the scheme, and will be a great asset for the Band.

Part of the plan for 2010 is to get the three Regiments in the Band up to their former glory again. As a result, the position of Captain-General (the person in charge of each Regiment) has been made permanent for 6 months, instead of the usual rotation every 2 months. And I am now pleased to announce the three new Captain-Generals. They are:

- for the Archers, Amavia

- for the Cavalry, Canis Rufus

- for the Infantry, Krakalakachkn

I look forward to the success you are going to bring back to the Band's three great Regiments!

The Band is currently decided what is going to be the next stage in our search for our Dream Band. Expect some news next week about this.
