Nice enough girl, but not my type! She is quite pushy but doesn't take the hint of "I am only trying to be a friend". You would think that by first year university, somebody would have learned to read the signs! I suspected that she was looking for more than friendship but now has really upped the ante by saying that she is "now" thinking that getting PR here in Australia then returning to China is a better course of action. I like her as a friend but not more than that. Pity that she can't be sent to the White Tower and forced to become a Red! Should I end the friendship after semester finishes in a couple of weeks & change my phone number? I don't want the hassle of that! Also where are the answers posted?

Answer: First off, WHY would you name yourself after Asmodean?? I can barely take seriously your question because of that. A weak, foolish man... are you one also?

Now, as to your problem... maybe you should stop dropping hints and just be completely up front and honest! "I like you as a friend, and I value our friendship, but I really don't want or foresee anything beyond that." If she is sane and all that, she will appreciate your candor and hopefully stop wasting her time where it's not desired. However, it may turn out that she hates you because of this, or is horrified to have it so blatantly spelled out, but either way, you're rid of her without having to change your phone number, right?
