Ask The Chosen, Love Advice

Guest Graendal

I have been with my girlfriend for the about three years now. Things

have been great for the most part, and I love her greatly, however

lately we seem to be drifting apart, and she never wants to talk about

it. At the same time, I've recently met a girl who really seems to get

me, we have a great time talking, we have alot in common, and I really

like her. However I admit that we don't know each other as well as we

could, and it is a long distance friendship.

I find myself torn inside. On the one hand is the girl I love, but

things are starting to go bad and she doesn't want to try and work on

it, and on the other hand is this great girl that I really like but

I'm afraid I might be manufacturing seems feelings that aren't real

since we've only known each other a short time and she lives far away.

I don't know what to do, but I have a feeling I need to make a

decision soon. Can you help?

Have you heard the saying "a bird in the hand is worth two long distance friendships"? Well, it's true. I'm not saying to stay in your relationship no matter what, but work on that one first. If your relationship with your girlfriend goes pear shaped and there's no saving it then go ahead, end it and move on.

"The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" is another cliche that comes to mind. When your own relationship is rocky of course a new friendship seems just great! Instead of bailing on your current girl in hopes of the new relationship working out, it's best to work on your own yard first.

I'm sorry, I just woke up from a rather, erm, long nap. What the hell was that drivel? Clearly *someone* was piping mushy self help tapes in to my rooms for the past age. Confused, your answer is simple. Go for the hotter one, especially if she is more powerful but yet also willing to bend to your will.
