In order to show the fact that the Band of the Red Hand ORG is the music (and travel) ORG of DM, the ORG has started up monthly contests to see which artist Banders feel should get special recognition for their work. At our off board site, Banders are allowed to champion an artist, before the whole Band votes on who they feel should win from those artists nominated. The winning artist becomes The Artist of the Month, and the person championing them starts the monthly discussion on the Band's public boards at DM.

Therefore (even though this is a tad late), I am pleased to announce that Bruce Springsteen, championed by Taymist, the Captain-General of the Infantry, won the first ever Artist of the Month Award for the month of April.
