There's something that's just so satisfying about creating things. Watching something new emerging from the jumble of various tools and materials you're working with...this project, this thing you're making...transforming from a concept, a dream, an idea...into something real, something present, something solid. Words on a page, colors on canvas, a dance on a stage, a blanket out of a bolt of fabric or some balls of yarn.... It's accomplishment. It's valuable. It's worthwhile.
