I LOVE THIS BAND!

That part gets me laughing out loud every time

You're absolutely right. There really is no competition, Jedi wins.
Corran is a balla'. I always loved reading about him in the X-Wing series and in I, Jedi. I usually reread the X-Win books every year, they are just so good.
Totally! I was kinda pissed when they moved on to wraith squadron, but they ended up being so tight that i was kinda pissed when they weren't in book nine...
I was pissed at first...but I got ensnared in Wraith Squadron quickly. I really liked the new characters and enjoyed the storyline that went with them. There was some good comedy in the Wraith Squadron part of the series.

There was a lot more to Force powers than what you got to see in movies. :P
One of the trump cards was Absorb/Dissipate Energy. Vader used that power to absorb Han's blaster shots, then used the power absorbed to pull it out of his hand in Cloud City. Can you imagine what fueling that power with Balefire would do? Sheesh...
Now why does that sound familiar? :P
Vader wasn't even that good at absorbing energy. Imagine what someone like Nejaa Halcyon would do with all that Balefire Energy. I wonder though, could Balefire be absorbed? At the very least, I suppose a jedi could move a rock or some other object into the Balefire path.
Also, another win for the jedi. While it doesn't seem like a few seconds is that long of a time to complete a weave, a Jedi can call on the force instantly, which would make a significant difference when facing an Aes Sedai

yeah, i think I could give him a run for his money

Jedi could deflect the fireballs with the force, just brush them aside or create a shield with the force. Jedi can also channel energy through them without damage, how much energy depends on each Jedi, Darth Vader did it in Empire Strikes Back when Han shot his blaster at him.
Besides, we see the most powerful application of the force done by the Witches of Dathomir. They literally sucked the life out of Luke using the force. I never understood why Lucas or other didn't use the force as a more powerful weapon. Jedi could literally snap people's necks, rupture their brain, stop their heart, break their hands, the force can be used in so many ways we never saw in the movies. AS can't block the jedi's ability to use the force, so if they tried to start any weaves, the Jedi could just bind them with the force, stop their heart, mind wipe them, whatever.
A Jedi would totally win unless the AS snuck up on him, but that would be hard to do with his Force Sense.

Love Phantom of the Opera. Great song too.

They did such a good job with their cover. Michael Buble's cover is still probably my favorite though. Just too good.

Origin of Symmetry and The Resistance by Muse
I really like Origin of Symmetry as it sounds very similar to Black Holes and Revelations which is my favorite of their cds. I'm not a big fan of their new cd The Resistance.
Origin of Symmetry gets a 9/10
The Resistance gets a 6/10

Lost Coastlines by Okkervil River
Great alternative band with great lyrics and catchy tunes. At moments they have great bluegrass influences. Great voices, great songs. I give them a 8.5/10
