I enjoyed listening to that. It's hard though, when I don't understand what's being said.

Wintery melancholy when it is at its best.
I like the style, but I don't understand the words!

Kris Allen (most recent American Idol winner)'s new album. It's decent so far.

Janine Jansen playing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto's.
By G.O.B. she is magnificent!

I only like bluegrass if it is live, and I have had a few pints ;D
Well it's not exactly bluegrass...maybe it would be better classified as folk with bluegrass influences (they feature banjo's a lot, but not necessarily in a bluegrassy style). I have a hard time classifying them under a genre and that's the closest thing I can think of.

The Ballad of Love and Hate by The Avett Brothers
Check this band out if you like bluegrass with folk influences, Okkervil River or Bon Iver
Their better cds are: Emotionalism and Mignonette
EDIT: ORG points for November for this thread done up to here. Corki

In the Air tonight - Phil Collins
*waits for the drummy bit*
The drums and baseline on that song are fantastic, but it takes FOREVER to get to it.

Ghost Love Score by Nightwish
Corki should be proud.

I don't touch any fast food except for Chick-fil-a, only because I know there are no trans fats, hydrogenated oils, and it's cooked in peanut oil.

Satellite Skin by Modest Mouse
Great song with their usual erratic style and frantic vocals. 4/5

the cd Showbiz by Muse
I'm liking it so far. I think it's more similar to Absolution than Black Holes and Revelations (which is my favorite). It's definitely a good cd, but it doesn't surpass BH&R. 7/10

Oh, that's really neat! ;D I've only gotten to see Celtic Woman in concert, and Relient K. There are so many more awesome bands out there I'd love to see! :D
"Every Time You Lie" by Demi Lovato
I got to see Celtic Woman in concert at The Fox Theater in Atlanta last April. It was incredible! Maybe the best concert I've ever seen. That or the Billy Joel/Elton John concert.

the Lord of the Rings soundtracks by Howard Shore are the best I've ever heard...and I've listened to A LOT of soundtracks. Narnia is pretty good, Harry Gregson-Williams is a good composer, but not one of the best. Try the Gladiator soundtrack by Hans Zimmer or the first Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack by Klaus Badelt. Those are both fantastic. John Williams is pretty good, but I think he uses too many tones in his music, especially during a dark/evil scene.
I thought Patrick Doyle did a great job with the 4th Harry Potter soundtrack. I have that one and the 3rd soundtrack, which was the last one J Williams did. The 3rd was is decent, but I like Doyle's versions better.
You might also like the Stardust soundtrack by Ilan Eshkeri.
