  1. "I doubt I'll ever Bond anyone. It's not like I'm some battle crazy Green, anyway - I don't need a Warder!" Jozan leered at her from where he sat, and put down the fork to respond “I don’t know, you seem to be someone that gets into trouble. If I had not come to your aid before, we may not have had this discussion – heated or not.” He said with a slight smirk on his face, and the other women giggled amongst them self. That brought a glare from the Aes Sedai that could pierce you in half. The women stopped giggling and lowered their eyes to the table of food – they were seated at.

The innkeeper suddenly approached them and told them it was time to head to bed, as it was past the time she usually closed the inn. Jozan nodded and collected his stuff to move upstairs, to get some rest before moving to Tar Valon, in the next morning. His room was placed for some reason beside the woman’s room. It didn’t bother him that much, but it probably bothered the frustrated Aes Sedai – who seem to have something against him or men for that matter.

When he entered his rather small but charming room, he put broken glass on the floor in front of the door – so he’d know if someone came inside. He had learned a lot of stuff not just from the tower, but also on his travels with his bondmate. He was always careful in a place that wasn’t familiar to him. It had saved both him and the Aes Sedai he had been bonded to once.

The sun rose early in the morning, and it shined through the only window in his room. It woke him up and he checked the broken glass and it was still there. Jozan got dressed and removed the glass, and gathered all his things. Jozan walked out and went downstairs, and surprisingly the Aes Sedai wasn’t around yet. He walked over to the innkeeper to ask her “Excuse me, but have you seen the woman that was with me last night?” and the innkeeper gestured to him that she was already getting ready to leave. He sighted and went toward the stable and found her group saddling their horses. Curse the light...Why did she have to be a bloody AES SEDAI and not a wilder. It would’ve been so much better – if she had been a wilder. He thought to himself as he started saddling shadow.

They would ride together toward the shining white tower, which he had not seen in ages it felt like. And with this woman beside him it would surely be a day to remember. He reined shadow into galloping ahead of the group – so he could scout along the road they were taking, so he could spot anything beforehand – but he couldn’t find anything so he went back to the group. “Aes Sedai, the road ahead seems to be safe, as far as I can tell.” He said with a firm voice and paused for a brief moment then continued “I can’t keep calling you Aes Sedai, my lady. Might I know your name?” He still held shadow’s rein in his hands and glanced at the woman with water-blue colored eyes.

A sudden swooshing sound startled him and he almost lost balance, as an arrow flew by his head. He yelled to the Aes Sedai to go faster, as another arrow swooshed by him. Someone wanted him dead, or maybe the same rough men from yesterday, wanted their revenge on the Aes Sedai. Only one thing mattered though, he needed to get them safely away from the road. “Ride ahead, while I keep them at bay as long as I can muster. Head to Tar valon, and get some help.” He nearly yelled the words at the Aes Sedai, while he started to ride back toward where he thought the arrows had come from. He would not let another Aes Sedai die because of his foolishness.

  2. Liana had just woken up when her roommate called out, that the last lesson of intro to saidar was to start soon. That made Liana nearly fall of the caused by surprise. She dressed as quickly as possible and then started to run after her roommate, as fast as she could muster. She really hoped she would not be too late on the last lesson with Seheria Sedai, since she really liked her and the lesson was very interesting and most important.

Liana actually happened to come in second to the class room this time around, which both shocked her and the Aes Sedai. Ay’lira smiled at her and Liana smiled back.

Liana grabbed one the rosebuds in the basket out in random, she didn’t think it would matter which one she actually choose. Well, at least she hoped it didn’t matter what so ever. Then Seheria showed them the Earth weave they needed to complete to make their rosebud to bloom. Liana thought it looked beautiful when the rosebud slowly bloomed in front of their eyes. She gave it a try but it didn’t work at first – neither on the second try. She became a bit irritated that it didn’t do what she wanted. Liana clasped her hands together tightly, so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

Seheria Sedai came by and gave her some extra assistance and after the third try, Liana was able to make the bud finally bloom. That made her slowly calm her self down.

Liana carefully listened to the warning about fire, to not use it to draw heat out – but instead use water or air to put it out. She wrote it all down in her parchment, which she had brought with her to each lesson with Seheria Sedai. Because you never know what you might learn, during the lesson. She took the candle and put it down on her desk. Alight this and you’ve learned something she thought to her self. Liana actually alighted her candle on her second try, caused by the weave being such a simple one. And then she used water to douse it off – using water was very simple now.

When the teacher told two novices to walk up to her desk and discuss what they had for breakfast, Liana nearly bursted off giggle, but she contained it. She both carefully listened to Seheria Sedais words and what she showed them. The weave was complex but somehow Liana was able to make out some kind of pattern to it. She gave it a try and started doing the weave and nearly had it done, when it dissolved in front of her – which made her disappointed. But her second time was successfull though and she weaved it to completion. This weave would come in handy when you didn’t want someone hear what you were talking about – a very useful weave, indeed it was. She tried to imprint it into her mind. So, she wouldn’t forget it.

Liana took heed to all the warning Seheria told them and then the class was dismissed. She was actually beaming this time around, and her roommate could see it , and giggled a little. Which made Liana stop and even blushed a little, and then walked to her room to rest before her next class.

  3. This time Liana was late, because she had to do a silly chore for the sister who had brought her to the tower. Which had ended with the sister calling her a good little girl, who does what’s she told to do. That made Liana pout her lips at the sister, after she had gone out the door and the door had been closed behind her. Liana made her way through the hall, ducking a few novices and accepted on her way to the class room. Some even had to dodge as she was hurrying along the hallway.

She curtsied when she entered the class room that was already filled with novices which was all looking at her. Liana’s cheeks turned red caused by all the staring. She took the very same seat she had had during all of Seheria’s lessons on saidar so far.

"Now that you have learned how to embrace the source at will, it is time to move on to learning more about the nature of Saidar and what we can do with it.” This made Liana smile as she couldn’t wait to learn even the simplest of weaves. So, she could actually start noticing her strengths and weaknesses early on. But she almost embraced saidar too early as she was very excited like all the other girls in the room, and the novice beside her could see her glow and then glow out again.

Liana could actually see a faint glow around the teacher, and the glow did become more noticeable as time went on. Seheria Sedai told them that most would see the water element as green, but Liana actually saw it as light blue. This made her smile to her self, liking it that she saw it differently than others. She wrote it down on her parchment, to make sure she didn’t forget it, as it could be important.

The weave the teacher created looked rather simple, yet very useful if you wanted to quickly dry your wet clothes. Liana gave it a try and nearly did it in her first go, but had to let go and re-focus. She then pulled it off easily on her second try. Seheria acknowledged that and told Liana that it meant she would find water weaves simple to grasp.

The next element was called “Air” which one of the novices shyly called out, that got her a smile from the teacher. Now this weave would be a bit more complicated but just as useful as the water weave they had just tried. Liana Saw the color of air as a darker blue than the color for water. When Liana started to channel air into the rag, it almost flew away caused by too much air used in the weave. Seheria Sedai saw it and came over to Liana to help her out. “It’s okay, child. Just take a breath and start over. You just happen to be very strong in air, and just need to learn to control it better.” Seheria Sedai said with a serene and stayed to make sure Liana could pull it off this time.

Then the class was finally dismissed and they could all walk back to their rooms and get some well needed rest. At least until next lesson was to start.

    Liana Alore,

confident novice of the white tower

  4. Liana arrived late to the class room as usual as she always woke up a bit late, and had to hurry to the dining hall and gulp down her breakfast each morning before class. She of course curtsied when she finally arrived to the class room, and sat herself down on the same chair she had sat on during the first lesson. She found the saidar lesson very interesting and very thorough; the yellow sister who taught it seemed like a very capable teacher, at least to Liana.

When the teacher addressed the several names from a list that had pushed them self to the limit, and by doing so had burned them out or died. Several of the novices looked shocked or even scared, but Liana wasn’t scared. She was afraid it might happen to her, but tried to shrug it off. I need control and discipline She thought to her self. Liana scrabbled down all of the names from that list into a small note book she had brought with her from home.

The Aes Sedai began the next part of today’s lesson by telling the about control, and how they need to learn to control the flow of saidar. And to be able to embrace it and hold it far away from their grasp, so to not grasp too much of it and lose control. That made Liana blink a little How to embrace it and not grasp it she thought to her self.

"I want you all to close your eyes and imagine you are the rosebud. Feel the warmth of the sun on the petals, as you did in our last class. Feel it fill you and just hold yourself there." Liana imagined the rosebud and started feeling the warmth of the sun quicker than before. And as Seheria instructed she just held her self there for a brief moment when it suddenly went out. But, she did the embrace again and held it strongly this time around. “Now imagine that a cloud is passing between you and the sun. As it does push the Source away from you, maintain your contact with Saidar but feel how it is distant. Now as the cloud moves away, pull Saidar back to you fully and feel the warmth again. Now remember this is a gradual movement, if you pull the One Power back to yourself too quickly it will hurt.”

Liana imagined that the cloud passed between her and the warming sun, but she nearly lost control but was able to grasp it right away. She held it and as the cloud passed between her and the sun, she pushed the source away and was able to maintain contact to the source, and she did feel it was distant. She imagined the cloud move away from the warming sun and bringing that warm feeling back to Liana. It was soothing to feel that tickling, and warming feeling again. She couldn’t help but smile, which made some of the other girls raise their eye brows at her. Liana was just happy she had learned to control it that fast.

Seheria Sedai told them to let go and calm them self down and then give it another try, and when Liana gave it another try it went a lot better. After the Aes Sedai dismissed them, Liana smiled at her and curtsied deeply and felt that her mother would be proud of her.

    Liana Alore

    Novice of the white tower

  5. Liana thought about what Ay’lira told her and she had also wondered about her own strengths and weaknesses would be. “The Aes Sedai that tested me told me how a life in the tower would be like, and that my nobility would not hinder nor help me go through the life as a novice, any faster or slower than others. I just hope that I won’t fail miserly when the test for accepted comes along.” She said with uncertainty to her voice and a questionable face.

Liana then stood up from her bed with a smile on her face as she looked at the other girl, and said with serenity in her voice “I found out when I arrived to the mistress of the novices, that she’s also from Saldaea, and she even gave me a small gift, a tea-blend from my home town, with a sweetened taste to it. Let’s go inside one of the gardens here at the tower, and drink some tea. I wish to explore the tower’s relaxation spots.” Liana smiled warmly and started making preparations to go out.

She didn’t want to stay inside all day long, she did like her room but the classes hadn’t started yet. So, they did have some free-time before that. After she had made the tea and poured it into a container to keep it warm, she glanced back at Ay’lira with a question hanging in the air “Have you ever considered what you will do with your powers to be? If I may ask you that, you don’t have to respond if you don’t want to.” Liana knew already what her destiny would be like; or rather what she would turn her destined path into. She still had nightmares and thoughts about her father.

She would fight against the shadow and do whatever she could with the power of an Aes Sedai in her grasp. Liana would imprint her name into the very heart of the dark one. And ride into the blight so she could slay every trollock, mydraal, and dark friend from existence. She would have her vengeance. “Ah, I am sorry.” She giggled when she noticed that Ay’lira stared at her with lifted eye brows, and said “I sometimes daydream. Not what you imagined a noble would do, huh” She kept giggling.

  6. The woman suddenly stood up and clenched her fists at her hips and she even glared down on him, while being fueled by anger. Jozan blinked and then she said "What need has an Aes Sedai of an escort, my good man? And what business is it of anyone other than herself whether or not she has one?" That statement took jozan by surprise and he was taken aback by it and wasn’t sure what to respond to that.

She’s going to boil…light she really seems to be about to explode. He thought to himself and the other women at the table were all shocked by her reaction to his question, which was asked quite politely he thought. “I am sorry that I didn’t realize that you were an Aes Sedai. For that I apologize deeply, but you do not look like an Aes Sedai.” He put down his empty cup and stood up and sat down on his left knee and put his right arm on the right leg, and bowed as formal as he could muster at the time.

Jozan looked up at her while bowing in that way, with his ocean blue eyes and spoke “I am Jozan Elvilmawien, towerguard of the white tower. I pledge my allegiance to the light and to you, Aes Sedai of the white tower. May the light guide us home safely under the creator’s protection” He said with a confident and serene voice. He then asked the waiter that had heard it all to bring warm soup and meat, and something warm to drink to the table. He was dumbfounded by her statement that she was actually an Aes Sedai. He felt bad for thinking she was just another wilder trying to lure him she was a servant of the tower.

The waiter came back with the food that brought a fresh and warm odor to the table, and there were enough food for everyone to dig into. Juicy and tender meat, smashed potatoes, and a warm soup that drenched his empty stomach with a warm feeling had been brought by a slender short haired girl, that couldn’t be more than in her early twenties. Her hair had the color of sand blonde and her shirt was pale white, and she also wore baggy blue trousers. It was a sight to behold when the women started eating of the food. Jozan took a sip of the spicy wine that had been put on the table as well.

“I almost forgot, you asked me before whose business it was that an Aes Sedai had escort or not. Well, you may have the source to grasp hold of but it does not stop a well-aimed arrow to bore your heart. And you cannot defend against several men if you’re knocked out. Therefore, having extra help is not a bad idea. That is why tower guards exist and why Aes Sedai bond, to feel safe and to have someone by their side on the journey outside the tower.” Jozan said with a soft voice to the woman as he took a bite of the tender meat held on his fork.

  7. Liana hurried along the corridors as she had heard an intro to Saidar would be held soon by the Yellow sister Seheria Sedai. She had woken up a bit late today, and had to rush down the breakfast so she wouldn’t be too late to the most important class in the tower. She even held her white skirt to make it easier to run fast. When she finally arrived at the door, Seheria Sedai had just begun her lesson, and Liana curtsied and then sat down at one of the empty chairs in the room.

She was actually looking forward to this class, not just because it would be her first time embracing the source, but also an opportunity to learn a few things about it. That would surely come in handy in any future class. “Good morning everyone. I am Seheria Sedai, of the Yellow Ajah. I will be your teacher for this Introduction to Saidar course." And she eyed every one of the novices in the room and when she came in contact with Liana, she almost blinked by surprise to see a Saldean woman in her class. That made Liana smile a bit which also made Liana’s cheeks a bit red.

"This class marks the beginning of your journey to becoming Aes Sedai. During this course you will learn about the nature of the One Power, and of course, how to channel. Now, I would like to take a moment for you to each introduce yourself to the class. We will be spending quite some time together and I'd like us to at least know a little about whom we are sharing our time with." Liana listened carefully when each of the novices in the class told a bit about themselves. And when it was Lianas turn, she actually got a bit nervous and nearly forgot what to say. She collected her thoughts and started over “Hello, I am Liana Alore. And I come from the capital city of Saldaea, Maradon.” She looked at the others hoping for any reaction. But all they did was turning back their attention to the Aes Sedai.

"Now that we are a little better acquainted, let us begin. This class is arguably the most important class you will take in your time with us here at the Tower. Please listen carefully and take the warnings to heart, they are for your own safety." Seherias tone became quite harsh which startled a few in the class. Liana listened really close to what her teacher told her. She didn’t want to miss out on anything that could either get her killed or save her life in the future.

"The first rule you must learn is to never, and I mean never, channel without supervision. Supervision means with the approval and direct watchful eye of an Accepted or an Aes Sedai. If you are ever caught channeling without supervision you will wish you had never come to the White Tower. The Mistress of Novices does not take lightly to such a breach of the rules. You'd be lucky if she didn't turn you out of the tower on the first breach of this kind. Do you all understand me?” Every single novice in the room directly nodded in agreement, as no one would want to get kicked out from the tower for breaching such an important rule. Liana branded that into her brain to make sure she would not forget it ever. She was here to be raised to the shawl, and she would not fail her mother.

Novices before us have been either burned out or even killed from channeling more than they can handle? That shocked Liana and she gave a faintly gasp that was barely audible. She hoped it was. The novice closest to her winced back when she heard the faint gasping sound from Liana, which made Lianas cheek go red of embarrassment.

“Saidar is addictive. You will want to hold it all the time. You will feel more alive whilst holding Saidar; colours will be sharper and in this is the temptation to channel unsupervised. Do not fall prey to this temptation. I will say it again, and bide my words well, you will never channel unsupervised. I want to hear you each say that back to me. I want your word on it.” While Seheria spoke she slowly moved across the front of the class room and sometimes looked at them to make sure they were paying attention. “I shall abide the rule to never channel without supervision of an accepted or Aes Sedai.” Liana said with a confident and serene voice to her teacher. She did understand why they were not to embrace saidar without supervision, as Leirin Sedai had told her on their journey to the tower.

She took out a parchment and pen as instructed and everyone else did the same thing. She would scrabble down as much as she could muster, to make sure she wouldn’t forget anything said during this lesson. She noted all the things she found either interesting or important information. But when she heard the male halve of the source she paused and started thinking I wonder how the dragon reborn could save the world, since the male halve is tainted and would make him go mad. Liana shuddered at her own thought and put that away inside her mind for the time being.

The male channeler is doomed forever to a life of madness and havoc, unless he kills himself or a red is able to gentle him before he does any more damage. This made Liana drop a tiny tear. What a sad life to live, I hope I never have to meet a male channeler. She mumbled to herself.

Liana noted what the Aes Sedai had said about the five elements that was all needed to be able to weave certain weaves, which was more complex than others. She especially noted down what element women were strongest in. It could come in handy one day.

“Set down your pens girls and close your eyes. Now the fun begins! We will now attempt to embrace Saidar.” They would now try and embrace the source themselves under tutelage of course, but still it was exciting and scary at the same time to actually embrace it. “I want you to imagine a rosebud. Exclude everything from your thoughts except the rosebud. Become the rosebud, you are the rosebud. Think of nothing but the rosebud. Be the rosebud, feel the sun on your petals, feel the warmth of the sunlight and draw that warmth in. As you draw the warmth the rosebud opens and blooms.” She has to imagine a rosebud in her mind and feel the warmth of the sunlight. But something was wrong; she couldn’t imagine the rosebud at all or feel the warmth of the sunlight. She couldn’t understand what she did wrong. Others were able to embrace saidar almost right away, while Liana was struggling on her own it seemed.

When she was finally able to imagine the rosebud and feel the warmth of the sunlight, and embrace the lovely saidar, she lost it as soon as she had embraced it. She sadly shook her head in disbelief. Would she be able to control her mind and embrace the source for long enough to make her first weave. She dearly hoped it would happen to her. Liana didn’t want to leave the tower that had become her home now.

"Well done everyone. For some of you it came sooner and others had to work harder on it before they were able to embrace. Do not be hard on yourself over this. Embracing the source, as you all just did, is not always something that comes easily. In the years you will have to practice, on your way to becoming Aes Sedai, you will become so used to it that you won't even think about the rosebud; you will just open yourself to it at will. But until that time, you will most likely need to think your way through each step.” That made Liana smile knowing it did take time before it was easy to embrace it, and in time it would become second nature to her when she was Aes Sedai just like Seheria Sedai.

And what the teacher said next made Liana think about it and she even decided to write it done on her parchment. “There will be times, try as you may, that it just will not come to you. Times of great stress, or great fear; times when you cannot calmly focus on the process of opening yourself to it, these are the times you will find it difficult to embrace the source. And throughout your lessons and years of learning, we will do what can be done to help you learn to overcome this." Liana knew she had to learn to control her wild temper otherwise she may lose it, when in dire need of saidar or worse when her fellow Aes Sedai or her friends are in grave danger. She really hopes she could learn to control it.

She listened to every word that was spoken and especially the more important stuff. Like how dangerous it is to hold on to saidar for too long, as it could be lethal and intoxicating. She had to keep that in mind when she embraced saidar next time. Leirin Sedai did talk a bit how saidar felt like and how it would drain energy from your body, till you were too tired to do anything at all. Liana had actually remembered that much from their discussion on the way to the tower.

After Seheria Sedai had dismissed the class Liana went back to her quarters to lie down and finally get some well-earned rest for the day. To get back some of the lost energy and to ponder about what Seheria Sedai had brought up during class.

  8. Liana really didn’t know how to talk with common people at all; after all she hadn’t been outside the capital to travel, unless followed by the house guards. But here she was with a total stranger inside the white tower, training to become an Aes Sedai or servant of all which what it meant in the old tongue. Her mother had told her that once when she was young. Liana didn’t really speak the old tongue but her mother had taught her some basic words, as part of her noble training.

This woman she had in front of her may be of common class, but she seemed to be a rather interesting person. Not only were they both from the borderlands but had also lost something in their life. This meant she might have someone she could talk to if needed. This made Liana smile a bit. “And...while we're rooming together, if I ask a question that you don't want to answer or something, you can tell me, I'll understand. Even if I already gave a similar answer." This made Liana blink and thought to herself Light, I’m being a bit too forward. I need to slow down.

“Yes, understood. I’ll keep that in mind.” She smiled warmly at Ay’lira and then said “Have you” she paused for a brief moment, as she was uncertain if she should ask or not “Um, have you ever embraced the source?” She crossed her arms and laid them to rest on her lap. “I have not dared to embrace saidar. As I have heard it could be very dangerous without guidance of the Aes Sedai.” She started moving her fingers through her beautiful hair, something she did when she was being nervous.

  9. Jozan watched as the other six men scattered like cockroaches and vanished from the place. He was alone with the woman he assumed was a wilder and looked quizzically at her. He wasn’t sure what to think of her way of getting them to listen to her, she should’ve been more careful as to not bring the attention of an Aes Sedai, unless she was an Aes Sedai which was very doubtful at best.

He dusted off his clothes and eyed her with an intense glare while he cleaned himself up a little, until he could finally calm down a bit. “It would be very dangerous to bring unwanted and unneeded attention to yourself. I suggest that we go into the inn and continue our discussion there instead, away from any prying eyes out here.” He said with a firm and a bit deep tone to his otherwise calm voice. Jozan motioned for the woman with his hand toward the inn, and he opened the door for her and they then walked into a quite large inner room. Which was a bit surprising compared to the size of the village.

The other women in her group were already sitting in one of the corners of the room. They sat down at the table and jozan ordered ale for himself. People in the inn started glancing and some even stared at Jozan and his companions, mostly because of his size and also because he was at the moment scruffy looking. So, they all probably assumed he was bad news for the village.

“Not to be impolite but why are you traveling without escort, and where are you going?” She can’t be going to the tower, is she? That would be stupid. He thought to himself with rising eye brows. “I am traveling to the heart of Tar Valon, the White Tower. I have been gone for almost two years now.” He said with a sight.

  10. The mistress of novices poured her a cup of tea with a Saldean blend, which she thought Liana would enjoy. Liana smiled warmly and took a sip of the tea and felt the warm tea going down her throat. She was both happy and a bit surprised that the mistress of novices were also from Saldaea as her, it would make it easier for Liana to talk with her. The woman asked her why she had comr to the white tower. "My mother wanted me to get tested, so there'd finally be an Aes Sedai in the house of Alore. I did, and it turned out that I can learn to channel. So, therefore Leirin Sedai brought me along as she went back to the tower." Liana said with a serene and steady voice to the mistress of novices. "May I ask you something?" she paused for a brief moment before continueing "Is it possible to send letters to my mother, to let her know that I am okay." she tucked a bit at her dress and took another sip of the tea that had now gone a bit lukewarm.

  11. A malkieri woman…a malkieri novice, interesting roommate Liana thought to herself as the other woman introduced herself as Ay’lira Sonoran, an unusual name but interesting at the same time. She seemed like a nice person, someone Liana could get along with. “My eyes? Yes, our eyes are all like this. I have not ever been to Malkier, but I do know that it fell. My mother once told me, the malkieri soldiers were courageous men and good fighters.” Light, why am I talking about that? She doesn’t want to hear that. Liana didn’t know what common people wanted to discuss, she had never had a chance to speak with common people.

She finally gestured for Ay’lira to sit down at her bed and Liana chose another bed close to her new friend, so they could talk without getting tired in their legs. She was a bit tired from the entire journey she had done to get to the tower, and she hoped her mother would be okay by herself now. The woman suddenly asked how she came to be in the tower. That was something she hoped wouldn’t come up so soon. The same day she got her room, and meeting her roommate. But maybe it was good to get out in the open, how her father had saved her and his wife from being killed or worse, eaten by vicious trollocks.

“I am not keen on telling my life story, but you did tell me how you got here. So, I should do the same.” Liana tucked her dress a little and took a deep breath before continuing with her story “Not long ago the capital of Saldaea was attacked by trollocks, and…my father were among the men that defended the walls from being overthrown.” She paused as a tear rolled down her cheek, which she quickly wiped away. “He died protecting me and my beloved mother, and if it weren’t for the sudden help form Aes Sedai and their warders, I might not have been here.” Liana said with a heavy voice “My mother, Alina t’alore of the minor house Alore sent me to the inn where the Aes Sedai to get me tested. She hoped I would be the first in our family to be Aes Sedai.”

She would be raised to the shawl neither just for herself, nor just for her mother but also for her father and their house. I will prevail…that is a promise, father. “My father was Jarrid Alore, a kind and hard man at the same time. I love him deeply” She actually smiled when saying his name with a serene voice and a slight proud tone to it. She did and will always love him deeply.

“I dearly hope we will be raised to the shawl together, Ay’lira. I sincerely hope that.”

  12. Liana walked slowly down the hall to where she would stay in the tower, her own room. She tucked at her completely white dress which she would have to wear at all times, until she got raised to the shawl. Light...just wearing a white dress, if only I had known she thought to herself. Liana still tucking at her dress when she got a few glances from Accepted and even other novices who had also just arrived here.

She finally collected her thoughts and walked more steady now, and when she finally arrived at her new home inside the tower walls. She put her delicate hand on the knob and firmly turned it until she heard a clicking sound, and opened the door into the small room. As she was almost inside she got a surprise, when a young girl stood up from the bed. Liana nearly blinked at the other woman but she softly said "It seems that we are to be roomates, I am Liana Alore. Nice to meet you, may I inquire your name?" her tilted sky-blue almond-shaped eyes looked at the other woman, while waiting for a response.

Liana let her long smooth black hair lie over her right shoulder, but she had put on a gift from her mother, a lovely pin with a small blue stone inside it.

It shined a beautiful light blue color, as the sun struck the blue stone. Liana was a beautiful lady though not many boys had noticed her, well not of any interest to her at least.

ooc: Sorry for such a short reply. It'll be better :)

  13. Liana held tight around the reins and glanced over at the Aes Sedai that was riding beside her, whom would take her back to the Tower. She was a good rider but now she was just too nervous and a bit excited to come to the tower. This was her first time alone outside the capital without any guards to keep her company, now only the Aes Sedai and her warder kept her company on their journey. The journey of a lifetime, to become the first lady of the house Alore to be an Aes Sedai, if she did well that is. Liana knew her temper could get the best of her if she wasn’t careful.

The journey would take them over the plains of lances and then they would after a few hours see the first small village close to the great city of Tar Valon, with its shining White Tower. Gleaming in its glory, where she would be trained to become an Aes Sedai in the next 20 years or so. She both looked forward to it and not, she had no idea what would happen to her in the tower, if she’d even make it past novice before they fail her.

Leirin Sedai tilted her head a little when she glanced back at Liana ”Don’t worry, child. I am sure you will do fine, and meet many new friends. The tower isn’t so bad when you get settled in.” The Aes Sedai said with a soft voice. Her warder smiled at her with a warm and gentle smile, as if to tell Liana not to worry about it. His face was quite handsome for an old man. He had a few wrinkles and scars, and brown-whitish hair hanging down his broad shoulders. He looked like any veteran soldier would, but his gracious movement and that stillness about him, made even the most veteran soldier look like a heavy feeted and sloppy recruit. Which made Liana laugh to herself.

And Leirin Sedai, well she was a fine woman in her early thirties. Her long silk blonde hair were knotted into a bun at the back, and her slender body was as gracious as fitted to a queen. Her brown eyes shined with wisdow of several years of life experience far beyond that of a simple woman. And then there were her agelessness which made it near impossible to tell her age. Liana knew if she was able to get raised to the shawl, she’d look like that after a while, and her mother wouldn’t be able to recognize her.

When they finally arrived at the tower gate a short man came forth and opened the gate for them with a broad smile, which he turned toward Liana and she gave him a faint smile back. This was all new to her, and she wasn’t sure what to do.

Leirin Sedai followed her down to the Mistress of the Novices chamber, where she would be inlisted into the novice book. She was getting slightly more nervous, and started fingering her silk woven blue dress, which her mother had given her on her 15th birthday. Leirin Sedai knocked three times on the door before a responce came from inside the chamber ”Yes, you may enter.” And Leirin gestured for Liana to go on.

    Liana Alore

    White Tower's new traditional novice~

  14. While Jozan fought with a grizzly looking man who was quite good with his sword, the woman suddenly started channeling and created fields of statics. This hit some of the men and made them stop fighting. But Jozan and the man still fought fiercely against each other. The man swung his sword and Jozan just barely went the other way, and only got a slight cut on his right arm. He swung his staff and hit the man on the knee cap and you could a crack, and the man gave away a grunting sound.

The woman snapped at her companions to get into the inn, and at that moment Jozans’ coat started to smolder, which didn't bother him too much as he was too caught up in the fight. The other men looked both a bit shaken and some even froze Light, have they never seen a channeler before? Jozan thought as he ducked away from the man's swinging sword that nearly decapitated him.

The woman was getting more and more irritated and stamped with her feet on the ground with frustration while waving a weave, which caused the Earth to erupt and in-case each man in solid Earth which immobilize them all. Most of them looked terrified which didn't surprise Jozan, as most people would be terrified by channelers. But not people like Jozan, as he was a tower guard he saw this on a daily basis in the tower. He merely stood there encased in solid earth and embraced in the flame and the void, which his first mentor had taught him a long time ago. That same man had taught Jozan to use the quarterstaff as a lethal weapon.

Suddenly a loud thunderclap echoed in the air which made Jozan look at the woman, with a stone cold face without any emotion. His face was the face of a veteran soldier that had fought many battles, with a couple of scars below his light blue eyes. And those eyes looked straight at the woman that seemed to be in charge of the group, or that had at least done the channeling stuff.

She suddenly spoke up while holding her fists on her rounded hips “Explain yourselves.” She said with an irritating tone to her otherwise fine voice. One of the less scared men said with a hesitating voice to her “H-he started it…we just defended ourselves.” He could barely look at her without wincing back. Jozan shock his head in disbelief and said with a steady voice “I am just passing through here, on my way to the tower. When these men were trying to seize an opportunity to rob you, my lady” Jozan didn't know why he called her a lady, as she didn't seem like one. Shes probably a wilder, too young to be an Aes Sedai. That is for sure! He thought but at the same time there was something about her that didn't add up.
