  1. This is my first game. No research done. The closest is I'm guessing this has a lot of parallels with Among Us, and I've not ever played that but I have been in the room while my daughter watched live action comedy based on the game. Red is sus, apparently. They were quite funny.
  2. And Sooh hasn't said anything suspicious at all so far, not that I remember. But isn't that suspicious in and of itself? But again, not the most suspicious thing.
  3. Turin and Dice both seem towny and big brother showing us noobs how to play. I don't know though if that puts them in the clear, though. Though by far not the most suspicious people so far.
  4. So if we take I'm wrong on Zander and Andy being in cahoots. That leaves Cairo, Millón (Spanish autocorrect cannot tell. I'm not doing duo lingo at the moment) and if I remember right Donnchadh all backing up their vote of Turin. So Zander and Andy if they are being unsubtle, Cairos, Millón and Donchadh if they are. Or if the mafia are being quiet...
  5. I resemble that remark. Especially as Zander is so sus right now.
  6. Obviously wolves are evil to their very core. This randomly assigned lie is so easy to see through, sheeple. Deadpan delivery, such an underrated thing these days.
  7. Must be innocent then? A wolf would have lied about it...
  8. So it was me saying hello that gave me away. And I would have gotten away with it without you pesky kids. Still for now think coordination is going to be the tell on the wolves. So, so far for me that is Zander, Andy and Cairos. Of course if I'm wrong and the real mafia bump me off in the night... Well, just a risk I have to take I suppose. This game is layered lol. You got show your suspicions or Turin will think you are mafia but if you are right you become a target. And if you are wrong you become a red herring target. If that makes sense. I think I could have worded that better.
  9. Lol I messed up too, going back to check the timer I found I had missed about three pages and most of the voting. Without Sooh's question I could have been one confused newbie. I'm finding the dynamic between Zander and Andy sus. Seems a bit like teamplay that they both vote on the same player without any discussion on the boards. Confusingly enough both Cairos and Millón seemed to back them up without making the obvious three voting block. Which would make four wolves. Perhaps I'm on the wrong track but it is still sus af. And seriously guys, when Zander says it it is hilarious but when I say towniest of townies it is unnatural? Why do people have stuff against deadpan delivery? Do I really need to type lolololoololol? Vote Zander
  10. According to the timer we got 37 hours til end of day one.
  11. Hmm I see sleeping dusting the US evening is going to give me a lot of, er, posts to read in the morning. Suppose it is better than waking dead, but not much to be fair.
  12. I think this is the game thread. Going from the title.
  13. I was curious. For raising points I helped Mother fill out a spreadsheet with details of people in the Warders Guild which involved trying to find the last date they posted. Which meant I've dredged through a lót of old posts and a lot of people talking about Mafia. Also got me reading a 12 year old thread about feminism. That was an interesting three and a half hours though. Mafia seems like something that is an emergent property of the rules. Until you play, you'll never understand what it is about from hearing the rules.
  14. Hi Sooh 👋 Trying to think what us towniest of townies could do to draw mafia out. They can just be quiet and win on even chances. But any noise townies make will drown them out. It would almost be safer not to lynch anyone, but of course then nothing happens to distinguish mafia and townies keep dying. It is insufferable. Perhaps we just need to gang up on someone and see what comes lose when we shake them.
  15. That looks like something a Mafia would do to sow confusion, lol. I suppose the real fun comes when the voting starts. That is when stuff gets real.
  16. But it would also create even more confusion. Though to be fair I cannot imagine being much more confused than now. Baselessly accusing is not really any different from baselessly defending... no, wait. er, well. Confusion reigns.
  17. And everyone says "that's what a Mafia would say!" all the time, I would venture? Splendid.
  18. And so you in turn through suspicion on Turin. How interesting.
  19. Wait, there are young people here? So when do people start acting suspicious? Isn't throwing out suspicions at the moment only something the Mafia would do as they are the only ones that have targets? Us poor innocent Townies. Turin's behaviour noted.
  20. Oh, definitely not. But I just mean that just the possibility of the Dragon being female doesn't break the lore. Only the Dragon being female would fundamentally change it.
  21. The possibility of a female Dragon actually makes a lot of sense. Obviously it would completely change the story if the Dragon was female, but the possibility would make the world even more waiting the second coming with trepidation. It would mean that wilders and rogue Aes Sedai could have been false Dragons, raising people's distrust of the White Tower. You would have people that disbelieved Rand was the Dragon as obviously it was going to be a woman. It would make Rand being the Dragon the worst possible outcome (as if the Dragon and the Last Battle weren't enough) as he would bring the breaking again that they could have otherwise missed. It would really play on the gender tensions that are a major theme in the books and the show "if only you were a girl".
  22. Lol, not quite but I used to use a nifty 8" Windows tablet as an electronic notepad (it had a digitizer) and Windows kind of intelligently switches from Desktop to Mobile depending on the screen orientation. So turning things over when they are being frustrating is second nature to me, lol.
  23. On your phone, flip it sideways so the keyboard hides everything and the strikethrough button magically appears, and other things like font size. Who ever designed the mobile version decided people that use their phones landscape deserved more options.
