Rafe Judkins is the single biggest reason the show failed. As soon as the show started off with 'the dragon can be a man or a woman', it was doomed. Absolutely ridiculous episodes like the one focused on Stepin and all the crying was a pure act of self indulgence on the part of Judkins. That said - it did improve - and it's a shame it was cancelled. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that ending it before it really got properly started - and the fact it really didn't capture the story at all - gives some hope (not much) that someone else will try this and hopefully do a better job.

It's really not surprising it's cancelled. Rafe Judkins did an awful job and alienated fans of the books. The big gaps between series also did not help. Hopefully someone else can pick this up and do a better job - preferably from the beginning. Casting would have to be much better too.

I would actually love to see a direct 1 to 1 adaption of the books in the animated style they used for season 1 bonus content. With AI for film making about to hit mainstream in the next few years - I can see it or something like it, being done.

8 episode seasons, each almost 2 years apart, was a dumb idea. The show has no momentum at all, despite getting better season to season. I can't imagine that many people being invested in it. GoT was 6 seasons in 6 years and 60 episodes, with every season increasing it's viewership, before they screwed it up with the 13 episode final run split into 2. But it had momentum. The WoT production is totally incompetent.

Probably my favourite episode. Tanchico was especially well done. The only issue for me was how quickly Matt's sisters learned how to heal. Not sure how they are going to fit the rest of book 4 into the last 2 episodes and after that? If there is a season 4 I suspect it will be AT least 2027 before we see it. Have they even started filming yet?

Season 1 - absolute tripe Season 2 - good Season 3 - really enjoying it , it has made me want to see more and hope for a season 4.
