  1. Covai shook his head. He had managed to latch onto the image Ashrak had been forming and take them there in time. The only thing was, this was no steading. Steadings simply didn't appear in TAR, it's like they were a black Void. Thing was, if they were next to one they should be able to see it, but all Covai could see was trees. That mean't either Ashrak was wrong, or Covai had pulled them to the wrong place.

Turning to face Ashrak, Covai spoke. "Wherever this is its no Stedding. We couldn't be here if it was." Covai raised a hand to stall Ashrak. "No offense intended, I'm just stating some facts." Covai decided to quickly change the subject, in case their short reprise didn't last long.

"Tell me Ashrak, does anything feel odd to you at the moment? Out of shape, misplaced...or just not as it should be?"

  2. Covai swore. It was the first time that night he had honestly been angry. Not so much at Ashrak, or himself, but the way things were turning out. "I could ask you the same thing!" Covai snapped back. He didn't mean to be rude, but the fact that Ashrak was still there was something Covai was quite ready to handle at that moment. Protecting himself was one thing, but a suddenly discovered new Dreamwalker was another, especially if the man's fear and imagination got away with him.

Covai spoke quickly but clearly, his Storm Leader authority clear in his words. "Listen to me, these Trollocs aren't real. None of this is real. But if you take them lightly they will still kill you. Think of this as an illusion of sorts. Can you think of anywhere else but here that you could be, a haven of sorts where these beasts would never enter?"

Covai was worried mentioning the world of dreams at his stage would rattle the man too much. Even a slight waver in his thoughts could turn out to be more than Covai could handle. He just hoped Ashrak could will himself somewhere else, or at least give Covai an image so he could take them both there, away from the nightmare around them.

  3. Ryusai nodded. "Yeah, I guess I see what you mean."

"So how long have you been here at the Tower anyways?" Ryusai changed the topic way from Aes Sedai and their Warders. He'd at least try to get to know a few people while he was here.

  4. "We never had anything like this is my village. About as interesting as things got was when a Gleeman happening to travel through." Ryusai explained.

Still not quite sure he had understood the difference between the two groups, Ryusai changed the topic back. "But if Warders only protect one Aes Sedai, whats the point? It sounds like being a Tower Guard is better, that way you can protect them all." Looking around at the size of the place they were, the dauntingness of that task suddenly struck Ryusai for the first time.

"Or maybe thats it, do Warder only protect one Aes Sedai because it's easier?"

  5. Covai clapped his hands together and called out "Team Potato-boy Wins!! You can take the blindfolds off now." Covai watched with a grin as the men surveyed the field for the first time to see what it was they had been trying to avoid.

After allowing the teams a few minutes to congratulate themselves, or not as they case may be, Covai stood up and called for attention. "That was a good first round every body. You may have felt a little foolish, but believe me........you looked even worse." Covai joked. "But the next event won't have anybody being blinded folded, and the numbers are also going to be evened out. Now bring the Captains and follow me!"

Leading the group back behind the Inn, Covai was grateful the see the chests he had organised were placed outside like he had asked. "Okay, each team pick a chest and go to it, inside are uniforms that you will both have to put on for this event. So go and suit up"

Covai motioned for Jocelyn to stop. "Sorry Jocelyn, but there's not one there for you. To be honest I didn't really except any women to be participating." Covai had prepared a back up plan in case of this, which was fortunate pre-planning. "But I've still got something you can use. Follow me" What he had in mind would work out even better. Leaving the men to suit up, Covai led Jocelyn inside the inn to find the kitchen staff he had talked to earlier.

Leaving Jocelyn in the hands of some of the women inside, Covai came back outside to see each team had already dressed up. Lord Cabbage-Head's Team was dressed up as a variety of trollocs, and Young Potato-Boy's Team was dressed up as army soldiers. The sight of the men dressed up like this would seem hilarious to any passers by, especially the impossing Isha dressed up as he was. Covai bit his lip to stop from laughing as he wondered how the Asha'man drew the short straw of the already rather ridiculous costumes.

Waiting for Jocelyn to come out before explaining the rules, Covai wondered in almost disbelief that there had been no objections to the costumes. They were some darn fine costumes and had taken him a while to organise, but they still weren't something that one could throw on without being at least a little self-concious.

OOC: Have fun picking what trollocs you want to be guys ;) Soldiers, have some fun as well and make up some ranks for the uniforms you pick ;)

  6. Ryusai tilted his head at the question. "Depends on what the Tower Guard are? Are they the same as Warders or different?" He had heard the Tower Guard reffered too a few times since he had gotten here. "I'm still getting used to all the different titles and such used around here. Its a lot more complicatied than where I used to live."

  7. Ryusai scratched the back of his head. "Umm....there's not much to tell really. I used to work at the Lazy Sow Inn in a small village, and thats all I've really known." Ryusai tried to think of something else to add, since it sounded rather pathetic even to his ears.

"I'm also pretty good with horses. But besides tending horses and cleaning, there wasn't really much that I used to do there...." Ryusai knew it wasn't much, but it was all he had to tell. He hoped who wouldn't be told to leave because of his lack of experience.
