  1. Spirit came easy to Tigara. He was strongest in Spirit. He crafted the blade of Spirit and sent it speeding through the weave. The weave split in two, if not looking ragged, like a ripped cloth. he had done it. He looked to Michael for his strange sense of praise, but he was not there. He guessed the lessons were done.

  2. “What do you mean, I can channel?” Jagaea screamed

“I mean that you have the spark. Normally, I wouldn’t have even tried to sense your ability, but when you told me about your brother, I thought it might be likely.” Said Kalyn, the warm hearted Wise Woman Jagaea had been staying with. Her dark hair was pulled back in a bun to emphasize her facial features. She wasn’t Ebou Dari, that Jagaea was sure of. Jagaea was bad at telling people apart. She looked rather ordinary, in a motherly way.

“But I don’t want to channel! I don’t want to go and be a Tar Valon Witch! I don’t! I don’t! I don’t!” Jag spazzed and started hyperventilating.

“Hmm, just as I expected.” Kalyn said to herself. “Girl, stop it or you’ll have a heart attack. You don’t have to become Aes Sedai, but I know of something that may be a good alternative. Come with me.” Jagaea calmed herself somewhat to a level where she could think clearly. She grabbed her cloak and followed Kalyn out the back. She caught snatches of something that sounded like “flaming Whitecloak brainwashing.” They went through most of the city, stopping twice to tend to the loser of a fight. During that time, Jagaea grew very impatient.

A good part of the day later, they came to a large house, almost a mansion. Kalyn stopped in front of the door and turned to address Jag. “What you see beyond these doors is top secret. Before we enter, you must swear to me that you will not speak of what you see to anyone. Alright?”

“Very well. I don’t see the big deal, but I’ll do it. I swear by the Light and by my hope of salvation and rebirth to not speak to anyone about what I see beyond those doors. Happy?”

“Yes, I am. What you may not know is that the White Tower is not the only society for channeling women. There have been several others over the years, most were stomped out immediately after the White Tower found them. But one survived. They have hidden in secret and rescued White Tower runaways and found wilders too old to be Novices. I understand that you do not wish to channel, but you will eventually. These women can teach you so that you do not kill yourself when you do channel. It’s for your own good.” Kalyn turned back to the doors and pushed them open. “Welcome to the Headquarters of the Kin.”

  3. Zari and Zela walked down the halls of the Fortress of the Light. Zari was using his spear as a walking stick, and Zela had her axes in her belt loops. They both had a content look to them. After their long search, they found something to fight for. Their Mother would have wanted them to fight for the Light. Fighting the Shadow would have made her almost as happy as fighting the Tairens. But as for the now, they needed to find the head smirk or something like that. From there, they would know what to do. The question was, where was this person? Where were they? They had never been in a place this big before. Each hall looked just like the other, white floor, white walls, white ceiling, small traces of yellow here and there.

“I do believe someone needs to find a better decorator for these halls.”

“Yes, they do, but that do not be our current problem, Zela. We do be needin’ this head smirk” A flash of white came from the front of the hallway. A Child walked down the hall. “There be someone. Let’s be askin’ him.”

“Hey you, the one that be havin’ a face! Come here.”

“Your tact do be surprising me every day, Zela. Be pardonin’ me sir. Could you be takin’ us to this Head Smirk? We do be wanting to become Children of the Light.”

“Oh, you want the Head Clerk. This way.” The Child motioned to follow him and they followed. They stopped by a door at the end of a hallway not far from them. “In there.” He said, turning back the way her came. The two went in.

  4. Tears flowed freely. Melianna dearly hated vomitting. The taste was worse than eating someone's bathroom refuse. And she was innocent! She watched Megain spill her insides into a bucket, and then Kalinde was leaning over another. Nothing for her yet. Her mind raced, tying to figure out a way to do it without vomitting. Maybe if she waited as long as she could after taking one, it wouldn't be as bad. It was worth a try. She walked over and picked up the warm milk, and threw her head back. The creamy milk rushed into her mouth, spilling some down her face and it ran down her chin.

Twenty mimutes later, she thought it relatively safe. She grabbed the wine bottle and re-demonstrated her display with the milk. Red wine ran down her chin and stained her white dress. She finished the bottle in only a minute and a half. She felt the traces of milk curdle in her stomch. It wasn't incredibaly bad though. She held it down quite well, but her stomach hurt something dreadful.

"If that is all, Darienna Sedai, I will be off to my room. Thank you for the lovely evening."  She started for the door, but as she approached, her vision faltered. It all faded away. She passed out right in front of the door, smashing her right eye against the doorknob. Blood covered her face, her eye lay on the floor barely attached to the socket. Had she been conscious, pain would have seared her body like nothing else.

  5. Refreshed and renewed, Tigara grasped with relative ease today. Earth came to him very easily and he moved it around, collecting dirt and grit from the ground. It rotated on the ground and formed a perfect sphere about the size of a teamug. A large one. Tigara altered the weave a little, and the ball started rolling in a circle around him. Another alteration, and it raced off through the air and pegged a tree right in the center of it. "At least that was my doing." he thought. He started gathering more dirt in the ground, forgetting himslef in his enjoyment. Several more balls pegged that tree in the same spot.

  6. An angreal!!! Her heart pounded faster than a squirrel about to be eaten for someone's dinner. Not only was she touching it, but she was going to use it. Nothing could ruin this day! Meli embraced the Source and pulled the angreal into her as she had been instructed. The amount of the Power in her was amazing! She might have been stronger than Maegan with this. She looked at the small onyx leopard with a fondness, then remembered the assigned task. She fumbled to find Earth;, at least it was easier to grasp than Fire, but not much easier. She started simple. A pin. A short pin formed out of the dirt. The it grew ot be a pen. Then it was a small dagger. She tried to make a copy of the angreal, but that proved to be too difficult. Too many specifics and details for her current skill. Looked more like an overfed housecat sitting on a bedpan. Meagan smiled at her and moved onto the next element.

Maegan pulled out a candle and Melianna was supposed to light it, then douse it with an element, then light it again, then try another element. She took the tiniest strand of Fire and wrapped it around the wick. She kept missing! A small flame would appear just away form it, then wink out. She kept trying, and finally got the candle lit. She then took a thread of Air and made a bowl around the flame she worked so hard to light. It winked out instantly. That was easy! She lit the candle again, and wove Water around it in a bowl, and it winked out just as before. Melianna clapped with delight. She lit it again, and attempted to put it out with Spirit. That one didn't work so hot. She couldn't figure out how exactly worked, so she asked Maegan, and Maegan demonstrated. She didn't really understand, but she managed it with some difficulty. Then she had another idea. She lit the candle again and grabbed as large of a thread of Earth as she could muster. Maegan gave her a very puzzled look. Meli wrapped it around the flame and it winked out. Maybe it didn't need as big of a thread, but it worked in any case.  Men would dump dirt on a campfire ot put it out, so why not Earth to put out a candle. Worked just as well as the others.

The rest of the lesson went very smoothly. She learned about Spirit and stilling, not a pretty subject.  It was after she was dismissed that she began to play with her weaves. She had a Fire weave and went to mix it with Air to make a light, which was a very useful weave. But that green box was in her visions again, so she had taken Spirit when she thought she was taking Air. A lot of Spirit. She had no idea what she had done until it was done. Maegan's hair was on fire!!  And Maegan did not notice. Did the woman have no feeling in her head, or was she that calm? She grabbed the woman's shawl and started abtting her head with it. Maegan made protests about crazy girls. "Maegan Sedai! You're hair is on fire!" She batted at her head more, but the fire did not dance or go out or anything. It didn't even feel hot. Meli grabbed at the hair, and it felt like normal hair. An illusion?
