"And peace favor you, Adanna. I suppose I'll put my things here." She said going towards the unoccupied bed. She sat down and noticed that these sheets were softer than her old ones. Walls were cleaner, too. Interesting.

"So how long have you been here?" she said cheerfully.

The door opened to reveal a Kandori standing in the doorway. Thank the Light! A fellow Borderlander. Melianna was so glad she did not get one of those sissy southerners who thought Trolllocs were imaginary.

"Hi, my name is Melianna. I was assigned to your room. I am of Arafel. What's your name?"\

Melianna muttered to herself as she followed an Accepted down the corridor. Appearantly, they needed to move her to a new room. No explanation or nothing. She had quickly gathered her few things up and put them in a bundle. Now she stood in front of a door that looked exactly like her old room. The Accepted already wandered off. She never even told her the name of her new roommate. She knocked and gave a quiet "Hello, I was assigned to room with you."

Melianna turned back in surprise. She knew that voice. It was only a year or two ago that she heard it. She heard the man announce himself as D'Ashan and she knew right away who he was. he had tried to steal 50 crowns worth of furs about two years ago. She had to watch him after he was caught. They conversed, yes, but most ended with her saying "Shut up and sit still. Now!" Not the best memory, but he was the only person he had met before the Tower. She was going to keep her eyes on him.

OOC: Well, what's your char's history? Melianan was a trader, so she wasn't there a huge amount of time. But if you were also in the trading business, they would likely have met.

Melianna saw near the front with a big grin on her face. She had met Shaneevae Sedai before, and she felt very comfortable around her. Maybe she could see the Nightingale again! When the Troolloc appeared out of nowhere, she was only half-scared. Being from Arafel, Trollocs were just another part of life to her, even being a trader.

After the first novice spoke, Melianna raised her hand.

"I am Melianna Tsunami Hollmen. I am of the Sea Folk and of Arafel. I have been here nearly a month." she said in a clear, confident voice, and then gave a smile of satisfaction after she was done. She was going to enjoy this.

"Yes Aes Sedai." Melianna said almost droningly after the mini-lecture about the dangers of ter'angreal. She knew she couldn't keep it, but had hoped the Sister may have forgotten it on her when she left.

"Pardon me, Aes Sedai, but I must go back to my dities, now. Thank you very much for the information on ter'angreal. Nice to meet you." She said with a curtsey and headed out the door back into the dark, drab hallway.

My Novice Melianna is driven by knowledge and an unknown past. Her Sea Folk mother left her with her Arafellan Father, so she knows nothing of her mother's side, or her heritage.

Melianna's heart almost exploded. To not only touch a ter'angreal, but to be wearing one. It was like Heaven! But what was stranger, is that she didn't know why she felt that way. She ran her hand over it. To her, it was almost like pure bliss.

She laughed at the joke. "I suppose you probably won't ever have the chance to try it, seeing how the Red Ajah is."

She titled her head."What other kinds of ter'angreal are there?"

No, not a Yellow for RP. I'm a Yelow Sitter at the Com side, but my novice will be going Brown. Sorry.

I am Tigara, your unknown hugger for the evening. I have been in the Com side of things for over a year now and just started RPing last September. Nice to meet you!

A Nightingale. That must be aone of those ter'angreal that she had heard about. Not how she pictured one. She had expected something fancy, that sparkled and glowed with bright colorful lights. Of course, if she had her way, everything would sparkle and give off colorful light. She was about to reach out to touch it when the Aes Sedai spoke.

"Oh, my name is Melianna Tsunami Hollmen. I do not know what clan I am in, as I grew up with my Father in Arafel." She replied and gave her story about how her parents met and was left with her Father. She thought back to the ter'angreal around the Aes Sedai's waist. Oh, how she wanted to touch it! She didn't have the slightest idea as to why, but she wanted to just touch it a little.

"Aes Sedai, the Nightingale is a ter'angreal, right? If it pleases you, could you tell me a bit more about ter'angreal?

Melianna jumped as the door opened. Aes Sedai still made her jumpy, which was odd. She had never been jumpy before coming to the Tower. She looked down to the Sister, which surprised her greatly. She didn't seem very intimidating, like most other Aes Sedai did. In fact, she actually felt quite safe around this one. Maybe it was the height.

"Pardon me, Aes Sedai, I have a package for you. It came from the library." she said with a more confident sound to her voice. She handed the package over to the Brown Sister.

Melianna strode down the dark dusty Hallway. Only the odd candle was lit for light. She still could have easliy tripped over her skirts if she had not been told that the package she carried was easily breakable. It didn't seem heavy, but not light either. It was just a package wrapped in brown paper. She wondered what was in it, but she had orders.

"Take this package to Shaneevae Sedai's laboratory in the basement. Do not open it, or there will be consequences" That's what the Brown Sister told her, and she certainly didn't want obe on any Sister's bad side. The hallway carried on for a long ways. She seemed to remember that she was suppossed to turn by a certain rusty lamp. She saw it and turned down a hall and saw a door with a small light coming from underneath. That must be it. She gave a little knock on the door and said "Shaneevae Sedai?"

Melianna wasn't really paying attention to the conversation anymore. She was more concerned with not melting into a puddle. Once again, she jumped when her name was mentioned.

"Ummm, I don't think I quite understand it. I think I will pass for now." she said. "Pardon me, I think I'll go and meet some others. There are so many to meet."

There were, but that wasn't the reason. Sial just made her skin crawl. She headed over to talk to Aramina Sedai.

"Yes, Jaydena Sedai", Melianna said with a bob after she explained the rules. "I will try my best to keep them."

She thought for a moment.

"Jaydena Sedai, how long do you think it will take to become an Aes Sedai? And can you tell me anything about this?" She put forward her tattooed hand.

Melianna was speechless. She had never been given something as special as this. Of course her Father gave her lots of gifts, but none that looked even a third this expensive. She ran her fingers over the necklace and the charms.

"Thank you very much, Jaydena Sedai! I love them!", she said with a great deal of excitement. The Aes Sedai didn't seem so scary anymore, at least with her mask on, she wasn't. That nearly frightened her out of her skin.

"I'll make sure no one finds them until I'm raised." she quickly added. She smiled.

Melianna's top so far is Brown (for what I have planned for her as an Aes Sedai), then Blue, White, then Gray. *nod*

Melianna looked up at the mention of her name. Her eyes were wide with fear and surprise. It took her a moment to recall what was said. She remambered and replies,

"Ummm, no. I don't believe I am familiar with the game at all. Sorry."

She went back to looking at the table.

Are there any Browns or Sea Folk Sisters around? I could use this to figure out Melianna's Sea Folk heritage.

"My name is Melianna. I came because I was invited and thought the best thing would be to please Aramina Sedai." said Melianna very quickly. " I have only been a Novice for a week or so." she said just as quick and decided to stare at the tabletop in an ackward fashion.
