Well, there are characters that can do that in a move. Deadpool, Deathstroke, Wonder Woman, Vandal Savage, Ras al Ghul and Katana can do this. There are also real swords men that could do this also. I know there are men and women that can today, mostly martial art masters that train to do this. In fact those ones would consider it a technique that would be the first before the more advanced forms. Many of the characters that I listed would consider it the first thing to learn and find it dull and boring to teach.

Agree on the Field Of Merrilor meeting Jack. RJ would have spent a heck of alot more time on that meeting, considering that Mat saving Moiraine was so critical going by the foreshadowing. Still loved the last book though.

The One Power will be gone over time after the LB. The damane will eventually die out because the Pattern will start holding those souls back from being born again once they die. The railroad is representing that human ingenuity and advancement has begun again post the DO, whom was actively stifling ideas until the Dragon was born. The Pattern is going to encourage this gradually at the same time it actively reduces the channelling souls to balance it.

The taint flaw was revealed in book 8 after he almost destroyed everything. The woman element was revealed in 9.
-
The woman element is revealed in Winter's Heart during the cleansing. Narishma was not controlling Callandor's use. Merise was and Elza later.

Or the Forsaken are the Heroes of the Horn equivalent for the Dark One

Which means all of the clans, since they were sworn to Rand. The only exception should have been the Aiel that swore to Perrin. Thakandar was much more important than Merrilor, since Rand was fighting there. I found the Thakandar campaign much more interesting to read.
I actually now think that it was a mistake for Sammael and Be lal to be removed early. These two alive at the LB would give a very tight conflict. With Samnael defending Thakandar and Be'lal invading the south.

If Rand had gone to the Waste first, and did not die there, Ishamael could have easily arranged for Rand to be forced to face an extra Forsaken in the Stone. Sammael I could see coming in to fight him alongside Be'lal and Ishamael, perhaps even Demandred. That outcome would have been disastrous as Rand would never had drawn Callandor. Especially since Ishameal was clearly trying to get the male Forsaken to work together. Keeping Callandor from Rand as a mission on the Dark One's orders would have done it.

I also remember a T.V show that had 13 of the books on a bookshelf in a scene. Cannot remember the shows name, though.

The souls for Shadowspawn is how Aginor made them initially in the AoL. They are reborn as human souls are, because he experimented on them. Only the Myrdraal and Grey Men don't fit, since Fades are born and Grey Men are volunteers. Perhaps the Grey Men are the Shadow equivalent of that idiot Gawyn was when he triggered the ring terangreal?
Bloody ashes. I may have justified his flaming existence in the books.

The Aiel did not disappear. They were all at Thakandar fighting. The Last Battle was not the only front.

Silvie was Lanfear. She also sniffed out Egwene in the Tower. It was definitely Lanfear, especially since she would know to spot a Dreamer in training and want to stop her from learning. This encounter also explains why Egwene was hurt more by Lanfear's attack later on in FoH. Because she had improved since the Silvie encounter, and was watching the Wise Ones teach Egwene in the World of Dreams itself since she mentioned it, and was intimidated that Egwene would outstrip her like Moghedien did. The Silvie encounter was to test Egwene's Dreaming potential, as much as to aid Be'lal set his trap.

I have always wondered, if someone in a link loses a Warder, do they lose the One Power in the link too??

Semirhage sent the Shadowspawn that opposed Sammael's attack. Sammael could have used a portal stone for his attack. I suspect Semirhage smuggled hers in by barge.

I for one went into a panic when it looked like Lan died to Demandred. All I could see was Rand failing had that happened, since Nynaeve was concentrating on keeping Alanna alive, since she was severely injured and slowly dying as the story progressed. When he stood up I actually had tears of joy in my eyes from the relief.

Me too!! A razor was always thought of by me to be a zebra myself, considering a sredit is an elephant!!

We saw in book 3 that it drew him. The Dark One must have been blocked somehow by the ter angreal over stressing and it affected the true power in the process.
-
One of the major gripes from these books is that I only got one visit to an Ogier groove. Also I never got to see the Great Stump, only its aftermath. What a huge shame. Also Demandred's activies sprinkled through the middle books would for me had been real great.
-
Very interesting to read that. I never knew that over stressing a ter angreal could cause that effect.

Fine, as long as it is decent, and everyone plays nice
Still excited and cannot wait to hear more news

Series 9 was awesome!!! Loved it!

Hi Agitel!! Good to see you back in this side of Dragonmount

I love the books myself. But, I am ready for another medium to explore the universe and story. This show has me immensely excited.

That is great. But LOTR is in print only because of the films. There was nothing in the 90's, and what was available was expensive. At least where I lived.
Two Rivers Folk are Dwarves?
in Wheel of Time Books
Posted
I always felt that the Two Rivers people were dwarvish and elvish personalities, abilities and skills mixed in together. I think that is really cool. The Ogier are elf as well.
