What are you reading/watching/playing/listening to right now?

Me and my bf has started the Dark Tower series. We are on book one and I have mixed feelings about it so far.

I'm late to the party but I'm binge watching The Office. I've just started the last season. 

When it comes to games we have been playing CAH and Talisman lately. 

I'm still listening to some ASOIAF podcasts. Just to prepare for the book coming out next year. Right?!

Let us know your reactions as you read. It's always fun to follow a first time reader. 

You can read New Spring when you want to. My bf finished the series last year and he read it as the last book.

In this thread we can give reviews of places we have been. Write as much as you want. A few sentences is enough. 

I'll start with one of my favourite places: London.

I don't know why I love London so much. Maybe because I've had such a good time when I have been there. I've been there four times and hope I will go there again someday. I recommend travelling in the summer. It can be hot but there is less chance of rain. When it rains, well, it rains a lot. Some places that I like:

* Harry Potter Museum. It's located outside London but it's easy to travel there. It's a must if you like Harry Potter. It's very expencive in the shop but it's hard to stay away from the chocolate frogs. 

* Globe Theatre. If you like Shakespear it's a interesting visit. The original theatre is no more but the current building is built to look like the original. I haven't watch a play there yet but it would be fun.

* St Paul's cathedral. It's a beautiful church that managed to survive WW2. 

* London Eye. Well, if you aren't (like me) afraid of hights. My daughter enjoyed it and I was happy to survive. ? 

Really, I could mention hundreds of places. Just walking around in a city and watch the buildings and people is fun. I'm not fond of English food but there are so much to chose from anyway. I have never taken a tour on River Thames but I hope to do so next time. 

Most of us can't travel this summer irl. But with the help of our imagination we can still take a trip around the world.

Well, we like playing all sorts of games and have discussions about important things (like would you rather be eaten by a trolloc or be caught by Cadsuane  stealing her breakfast). Sometimes we make reviews. All ideas are welcome. But brownies and spam are of course important. ?

Thanks! It seems like you need a hug as well. *hugs* I don’t have any concrete plans right now. I hope to see my parents. We are allowed to travel if we are healthy but I’m not sure if I want to go by train in these times. I have some books that I want to read, I guess that is my plan. Actually the best plan. ?

How is everyone? Are you staying safe in these mad times? 

It feels like work has consumed me the last weeks. I’m looking forward to summer break. 7 weeks off! I really need it. Obviously we can’t travel anywhere but it will be nice with some peace and quiet, a book and a cup of tea.

I agree that Loial didn’t get enough time on page. He is one of my favourite characters. I would have loved more interaction between the randland ogier and the seanchan ogier. 

The series written by Katherine Kerr, is that the one where people get reborn in different timelines? It’s been a long time since I read it. I loved it at first but stopped reading it when my favourite characters died.

How are you all doing? It's a new month again. Time really flies. Let's talk about Star Wars. You get points for signing in and also points for posting something Star Wars related. Do you have a favourite movie or character? Thoughts about the newer movies? (I guess no spoilers for The Rise of Skywalker, even though most have seen it by now.)

Disney+ has not come to my country yet but I´m looking forward to see the Mandalorian and baby Yoda. I hear a lot of good things about the show. Too bad Pedro Pascal has his helmet on all the time but it's still Pedro. And of course, it has baby Yoda. How can you not like him. Look at those eyes. 

I didn't enjoy The Rise of Skywalker as much as I had hoped (even though I didn't have a lot of expectations) but there were some good scenes. What I like most about the newer movies is Kylo Ren. A great villain, played by a great actor. 

I thought I was going to leave the Star Wars franchise after the latest film but then I hear a lot about the Mandalorian and now they are doing a Obi Wan show with Ewan McGregor!!! I just love him. So I'm stuck with Star Wars for a few more years. ?
