  1. DM Handle: Lavinya

    Character Name: Senette Nadari

State whether this is a Traditional or a Salidar character: Traditional

Age of this character * (Traditional = 14-19 / Salidar = 20-70): Main Timeline age – Mid to late 40s. Joined as a novice at 16, Accepted at 22, Aes Sedai at 30.

(* Returning / Full AS character: age in main time line)

Name of country where this character is from: Arafel

    One Power Breakdown

    Skill: 31 Strength: 29 Potency: 60

    Air: 7  Earth: 5  Fire: 5  Spirit: 6  Water: 6

    Appearance

Hair: Her bistre-hued hair is long with a natural wave; almost black, her hair is very dark but the length cannot easily be determined as it is most often worn in braids and elaborate coifs, sometimes bearing the traditional bells of her homeland.

Eyes: Wide-set and framed with long dark lashes, her eyes are an icy blue.

    Skin: Fair and blemish-free

Height: Senette stands at around 5’5”.

Voice: Her voice is melodious and sometimes betrays her emotions with its change in cadence. She still carries the lilt of her Arafellin accent though it has broadened somewhat in the years since joining the Tower.

Other: Senette is quite pretty with her symmetrical features, full pout, dimples and slender, feminine figure; however she is oblivious to her physical allure and is thus rather careless with her appearance. It’s not uncommon for her to have absent minded ink smudges on her skin or rumpled clothing or hair that has escaped its confines.

    Optional

Special Skills: She has a sharp, analytical mind and is passing fair at logic puzzles and the like.

Knowledge Weakness: Senette can become very detail oriented and ignore the larger picture. She also has a tendency to be socially inept as a result.

Physical Weakness: She has no obvious physical weaknesses

Personality weakness: While she is slow to anger, she has a terrible, fiery temper when roused.

    Personality

Senette is generally a friendly, amiable sort of woman with an easy smile and calm, nurturing temperament. She is not easily incited to anger but does have a volatile temper when pushed to it, and grows quite animated when on some scholarly pursuit or in the midst of a good puzzle. While she is very intelligent and sharp, it is not always obvious as she will often concede to avoid conflict, or is very vague and dreamy while pondering some great mystery. Many sisters think she is a push-over; but she chooses to yield which is distinctly different to being cowed, despite many opinions of her.

Scholarly pursuits are of great interest to Senette, and somewhat surprisingly so too are artistic endeavours, though she doesn’t always have the skill, she has enthusiasm and loves to admire the beauty to be found in the world around her. As such, she has become a collector of strange and lovely things that catch her interest; from a pretty flower to an unusual chunk of rock, it can likely be found in her study, along with artifacts from bygone eras when she can manage to find or borrow them. It is this whimsical love of ‘pretty’ things that often sees her adorn herself in unique and interesting pieces of jewellery, from hairpins and bells, to necklaces, brooches and numerous bracelets.

    History

At 16, Senette made her pilgrimage to the White Tower. It was tradition among her female relatives; when one of the young women came of age, they were sent to be tested in the hopes that one may find success and become Aes Sedai, a most noble calling among her Arafellin family. Even the royal family boasted an Aes Sedai among their ranks, so too would the Nadari family, if they could help it. There was always the possibility, of course; Senette’s great-grandfather’s Aunt had worn the shawl or so she was told. The Green Ajah, her mother told her often with mingled pride and embarrassment, for the great Delenei Sedai had four warders at once and it was quite scandalous, really, but that was of course forgiven for a woman who could wield the One Power. Still, there had been no other women who met with success since, and Senette was not filled with much anticipation. She expected to make the journey, thank the Aes Sedai for their time before returning home to her books and rocks but no, fate intervened and a spark of light had flared in the simple clear gem, much to her surprise, and her home was no longer a modest little farm on the outskirts of Shol Arbela but the novice quarters of the White Tower.

Amiable and bright, Senette made friends and progressed well on her studies, discovering with great joy just how comprehensive her education was to become and throwing herself wholeheartedly into her training. Avoiding most plots for mischief, Senette was far more interested in learning and mulling over the wonders being revealed to her and as such progressed at a steady pace.  After six years, she was raised to be Accepted.

Finding new freedom with the promotion, Senette spent many hours following many pursuits – from days lost in the library to lengthy sojourns to the gardens where she spent time on her rudimentary sketches and getting sunburned, as despite the varied focus of her many activities, each one would enrapture her for its time and she became oblivious to most everything else going on around her. Ever eager to be about one of her projects, Senette often calmly and gracefully bent her knee and complied with every whim of the Aes Sedai about her, believing that doing so would mean she would be sooner about her own business and not harassed quite so much. It worked for the most part, though there were some who took it upon themselves to banish her distracted manner or airy mien. It was those encounters that revealed the depth of a surprising temper that blazed like a maelstrom when correctly provoked and earned her a few sound switchings and degrading menial work – above that already expected – to teach her serenity and control. It worked as well as could be expected, for Senette did her best to avoid conflict and confrontation so as to keep her temper ever in check.

The greys lost interest in her, seeing how readily she gave in. No great talent for healing, that turned away the yellows; her lingering affection for brothers left behind meant she found the reds far too cold for her taste. The browns followed her education and research with profound interest, where the white ajah seemed to find something interesting in the way she applied logic and reasoning. Senette was unsure for many years which ajah she should call home. The cause of the blues struck a satisfying chord within her, and there was the familial legend of her great-great aunt the scandalous green with a bevy of loyal gaidin. The notion did make her giggle and blush to think on, but ultimately she was uninterested in males, they were far less exciting than her collection of fossils, dried flowers and crystals. It seemed a given that she would join the Brown Ajah given her interests, but ultimately her decision was swayed by an unexpected discussion.

“Why do you flit from one project to another, Senette?” The older sister had asked, with amusement, Senette thought. “Because you lack direction,” the woman continued, “and you won’t find it among the brown ajah; they will just let you potter about with experiments and sketches and you may never achieve anything.” The woman scoffed, flicking at one of Senette’s half-drawn diagrams of a delightful orange orchid she had found in the market place and paid a pretty penny for. “Do you want to ever be reacting to the world around you, child, or do you want to shape it? That is the true question.” Surprise left Senette speechless as the woman left the library, blue shawl draped with negligent grace over her shoulders. The question had tugged at her attention for many days, invading no matter what activity she turned her mind or hands to, demanding satisfaction. What was the point in studying without purpose? Did she examine the world only for the joy of knowledge? Currently, yes, but is that why the creator had deemed she should wield the One Power? She did not believe so, surely she had been given what small gifts and interests she had for a greater purpose, and she could only truly know it if she joined the Blue Ajah.

It was another year after that conversation that Senette at last completed her testing – almost eight years as accepted in total – and was officially welcomed into the Blue Ajah, the shawl placed upon her shoulders by the very same Aes Sedai who had so casually captured her interest so long ago. In that time she had begun to change her mindset, putting her energies into purposeful study, seeking answers and solving riddles – riddles of nature, of the one power, of humanity – all with the intention to in some way makes things, people, better. She still indulges in fanciful wonderings and artistic sketches from time to time, though such whimsy has become far less frequent since becoming an Aes Sedai. Now she wants to make the world a better place.

  2. Seheria watched in wonder as the newest sister hung on her word. The woman seemed genuinly to be taking it all in and thinking about it as it was meant to be. A hard task to accomplish after the long hours before. She wasn't sure how much of it would stick come the morning, but it was a good thing to be heard in interest now.

"Forgive me, sister. I have many questions, but I'm not sure how to go about wording them. I do wonder how one helps someone, and learns more about the human body without harming a patient."  Celestine seemed to pause as though she was changing what she had been about to say. Seheria couldn't help but wonder if the woman had had her first encounter with the truth oath or if she was simply choosing her words as she had been trained in her many years on the way to the shawl. She hoped it was the first..that was always a fun thing to watch, but since the woman didn't show any signs of a new sensation swirling through her the Yellow thought it was more likely that she knew better than to say her thought outright. "I suppose the sisters who work in the infirmary have the best understanding of that topic."

Celestine didn't ask a question, but Seheria treated it as though she had, replying, "you will find there are a lot of ways to do things that seem contradictory. I'm sure your training that lead you to the shawl has shown you that there is more than one way to approach just about any situation. Its all a matter of how you present it. So far, you have learned how you must present yourself and your thoughts to the world to get where you ought to be. Now that you have the oaths to bind you, you will need to find ways to present things to yourself that will allow you to acheive your goals. Some things can be done simply. It is often enough to believe that the goal of the end result is enough help to distract from the 'hurt' that goes into it. If you are hurting now so you can help later, than its not really hurting -- its all going to the same cause, all to help. There is the issue of consent too: If someone says you can do a thing, then perhaps it is alright to do." she paused, for dramatic effect and another sip of her tea, "and of course if you can find a way to do something without harming something, because harm cannot be done to it any longer, then that is another way around it." her cup now empty, she set it  a side on the table between them. "Each Sister's oaths are her own and they are only as binding as you believe they are. What you are capable of doing despite them is completely up to your understanding of the hold the rod has on you."

She guestured for Celestines cup, not checking to see how much was left, "you must be near the bottom of that by now. Hand it here," she caught herself in the almost order she was so used to giving Accepted and forced out more of a sentance, "if you will, and I'll let you get off to freshen up and take that banded dress off.

Along with decorating your rooms, as our three newest sisters always do, they will have supplied a few staples in a wardrobe for you in your rooms. I hope you find something that will suit you for tonight. Nothing too fancy, mind. The Infirmaries can get a little..messy.. in the parts we will be going to.

If the decor is not to your liking, you may wish to slowly pick at altering it. Some sisters think very heavily about what to add your collection. It is meant as a way of welcoming and a way of joining. You are part of our Ajah now and will have a peice of it with you in every trinket chosen for you. Some are meant to bring a smile or a laugh when you fear you have nothing to be positive about.  Some are to remind you are never alone, though you may feel you are. Of course, sometimes the Sisters are using your rooms to get back at the sisters who decorated their own. As if to say, they messed up my room and I had to live with it so I'll mess up yours for you to live with it. Either way, they are your rooms and you can do as you wish with them, but some sisters will be watching closely what you take out among what you bring in. Speaking of bringing in, you can take your flowers with you now or send someone to fetch them for you." She winked and flashed a quick smile at the new Yellow, "it can be a little fun the first few times you send people out on errands."

She rose from her chair to show the tired Sister out, "I'll be waiting here for you to return, perhaps with others if any are still around at this hour. There is no need to rush back, but do keep in mind we have much more to speak of and show and the sooner you are back and we are through it, the sooner can you try out your new bed sheets."

  3. I seem to of lost the conversation we had about the general breakdown of this RP. I’ll put up some other generic post again tonight for you but if someone can make me to where we discussed all the things that need to get done that would definitely help keep this thing rolling

  4. Seheria settled back into her chair and let her gaze stare into the newest Yellow as she bore her heart telling her why she chose the ajah.  She waved the Accepted off and the girl took the hint to leave the two alone. She closed the door gently and Seheria made a mental note of the girl's good judgment and considerate nature.

The new Yellow's words spoke true the seasoned Sister. "To Heal is to improve someone's life from unnecessary suffering, and to bring happiness. This, to me, is one of the most, if not the most important of the Aes Sedai's purposes. We cannot all Heal, but those who can, should."

"May I ask you a question, Seheria Sedai?" She waited for the other sister's go ahead, then asked, leaning forward in her seat, "Can I be told, exactly, how the taint on saidin was cured? Everyone said it was impossible. Yet a Yellow did it, right?"

"You have much to learn, Celestine. How the taint was cured is surely a story you can and will learn and a skill you may be privileged to share some day too. It was impossible. But then so many of the things all Aes Sedai can do were once impossible, and are still impossible to those who are not trained and those who do not try."

She hoped her short reply would be enough to sustain the girl. It was not the reply she wanted, but Seheria knew there was so much more to learn and speak about this night and that story would be long and detailed and give the new sister too much knowledge too quickly if truely delved. She hoped what she said would be teaser enough to keep her interested still and not feel dejected with her first query being denied.

She tried to turn the topic to something else, that touched on more of a starting point. Turning back to what the new Sister had said in speaking of her reason to join the ajah.

"It is a noble calling to rise to the ranks of the Yellow Ajah, but you name it well: it is an obligation for those who CAN to join our ranks and DO."

She took a sip of her tea, and then set her cup aside. Pausing to lock eyes with the young woman. "The time to sweet talk this Ajah and try to sell you our wares is over. You are Yellow now. You will soon see the behind tapestries and bright colours. You will soon see the cracks, the heart ache, the struggles and the reality.  You have chosen the ajah with the highest stakes."

She tried to read the woman to see how she was taking this in, but couldn't. She studied her wondering which of the many facets of the Ajah would most appeal to her, and then thought about how she should set about showing the hard reality of any path within the ajah she took.

"The Blues, Greens, and Reds rush headlong into danger and put  themselves at risk. They know what they do will cause pain, loss of life, and they expect and accept casualties. The risk is high, but it is a risk to their own person and they can justify the harm of others as 'not their responsibly to save them'.

As Yellows, the threat is often as immediate as it is with the Blues, Greens, and Reds, but the risk is almost never to your own life - you fight for the lives of others. You are the one thing between a normal future for someone and their suffering and death.

Should you stay in the Tower and work in the Infirmary, or go to the battlefield, or seek out those in need traveling solo through the world, the case is always the same:

They do not come to you in joy and peace, they come in fear and anguish and desperation. You are their last hope, their only chance. And time is very rarely on your side. You will need to make split second decisions that will not affect a moment more of your life, but will affect every minute of every day the patient has after your meeting. Your best will often not feel like enough. You will do things that others have tried and failed.

You will do the impossible. And you will feel a pride inconceivable. But there will be times you do all you can, you will be pushed to your limits, you will do what you think is right, and it will be wrong. It won't be enough. You will fail, and your failure won't impact your ability to carry on into the future, but it will impact the patient's ability to do so.

You do not put your own self at risk as the Blues, Greens, and Reds do, but you will take unknown risks to help others that those same Sisters never would. You will do all you can and sometimes it will be enough; sometimes it wont. "

She paused, pulling herself out the flood of memories tugging at her mind. Then, in an unexpected yet well timed moment of emphasis, she continued, "you will kill people." She swallowed hard, forcing on, "you will be forced to leave people to die". She picked her tea back up swirled it absently with the small spoon meant for sugar.

Trying to lighten her tone a little, she continued "you will heal what others say you cannot. You will push through exhaustion few others ever see to benefit people you will never see again. It takes a lot out of a person to be faced with these circumstances time and again, day after day for generations. But the rewards are bigger for a Yellow than the others. You will children reunited with parents who had never believed it could be so. You will see people living miracles they only dreamed of and thanking you for making it so."

She took a long sip of tea to ease her dry throat and to approach another option.

"The Greys, Whites, and Browns can have significant impact on the way of life and the future of the world, but in a low risk, long term fashion. Their change is slow and small and eased into. Caution, with risk carefully weighed and reduced as well as it can.

As a Yellow, you can take this approach too, if the thought of the immediate pressures of healing the currently wounded are too much for you. The study of medicines and new healing weaves is something that is highly encouraged. We can't all spend out time reacting - some of us have to forge ahead and figure out how stop things before they start, or find ways to fix things that no one else had before -- like the Taint, and like the Sister who found the weave that was passed down to through the Yellows that saved your hearing.

Like the Greys, Whites, and Browns, our research will shape the future. If the knowledge is there, and the laws are there, but the population dies out, what is it all for? Only those with the ability to do the weaves can find them, so there is no point leaving it to the research of a Brown. They may know the theory, but without the practice they cannot truly and thoroughly test it. The risk in this too is high, as experimentation can be deadly for both the tester and testee and it is our sole goal to keep things alive and at their best. It can be hard to work through the Oaths to make tests that come to the point of causing harm so we can learn how to heal them better."

The first thing to do this night was a tour, but Seheria would await the woman's response to her conversation before deciding where the tour should start. If the new yellow seemed most driven to the infirmaries, their tour could start there. If she was more interested in the research, perhaps she should start in the stock rooms or the studies full of medical books that were stored safely away from the masses at the libraries. She the time for others to join again would coming soon, but she didn't want to rush the woman. The hours were short, but the years ahead of her were many.

  5. April is over and I've had some time to sort out real live things that got laid aside - bills, housekeeping, quality time with my kids etc. - so I am ready to start easing back into DM.

That said, this place exploded while I was gone (in a very pleasant way) so I do have a LOT to catch up on. Please be patient as I go through all the new things and try to settle back in around here.

If you need anything don't hesitate to PM or email me. I will be focusing mostly on reading through Tay/Chae/Kyn/Ajah Head related posts and checking PMs before I really get back into 'interacting'. So if need me, reach out to me in PM or Email.

To all the many many many new/returning members, WELCOME!!! So happy to see you all (again).

Reports were generally done when we were super active because the RGL also had to report to the PSW Admin each month. We stopped doing that in favour of more informal chatty updates. I can't imagine Kat will be overly worried about the location or how formal it is as long as you're keeping her informed on everything and letting her know where it's posted. And if you have mod rights on a board then you can mod any information you have responsibility for on that board. Doesn't matter who the original poster was.

    Exactly this.

Dint worry about the formal reports. It used to be that the RG else would have to do a monthly report for the Admin’s and they wanted all of the active are peas and a list of all the active members and any new ideas going around. That got to be pretty time-consuming and intensive for one person to do when activity was high and all seven as used to be that the our GL’s would have to do a monthly report for the Admin’s and they wanted all of the active are peas and a list of all the active members and any new ideas going around. That got to be pretty time-consuming and intensive for one person to do when activity was high and all seven ajahs. I called him off before you started dragging and I guess I forgot to tell you that LOL sorry.

I don’t really see the need for right now because we’re not active enough and the Admin’s are looking for anything so formal anymore.

If we get busier I’ll reinstate them.

    Character Name: Conor Palfrey

    DM Handle: Arie
    Aspiring: Gaidin
    Current Rank: Gaidin; Guardian Discipline
    Age: 32
    Place of Birth: Andor

    Family Tree:

    ★ Father - Davrin Palfrey
    ★ Mother - Audrina Palfrey

    Character Description:

A very large set character, Conor was considered 'fat' by most standards when he entered the Yard. Standing at 6'5" with cropped sandy blond hair and blue eyes, he is a very large man. As the years tested and trained him (and in the care of the infamously difficult mentorship of Cairma Vishnu), Conor grew out of his 'fat' stage only to be more of a large lumox of a beast with a much larger build. However, don't let it fool you as this man is a swift liar who has at times spun many a tales with his characteristically expressive face.

Conor dresses in the usual regalia; trousers, shirt, belt and the occasional vest, and nothing underneath as it chafes something fierce. He wears the standard armor of the Yard, and is one of the few in the yard capable of wearing full plate armor with the Tower Crest on the chest. However it is usually only worn on the battle ground. Conor doesn’t aim to impress with his clothes as merely the sword does it for the Tavern ladies of Tar Valon. He had concluded long ago that he would never be bonded, no point in primping like a girl when all he wanted was his trusty sword, ale, girls and no responsibility. That's what ruins the good men, after all.

As the years passed, Conor mellowed enough to earn his way up through the rank, fitting best in the Guardian Discipline and has mostly enjoyed his bachelor lifestyle, aside one pesky Aes Sedai who keeps catching his eye.

She was tiny; in that 'kind of cute and easy to throw around' kind of tiny that He loved. Although she didn't have that pretty red hair that he loved so much, Conor still liked looking at her. No, he liked looking at all women in the yard but this one caught enough of his attention to watch a little more from afar. It wasn't a rarety for him to do so, oh no not really in this case at all, women of the yard were kind of scary and it was hard to pick up who would be fun in bed, fun in the yard or who to stay the hell away from. It was a learned skill, Conor mused foully, but he will learn it one day! Mark him, he will learn it!

Her name was on the tip of his tongue. Conor mused with sour thoughts. Cairma thought he was slow, but no it was a bad memory. Really, that was his excuse. He saw a pretty girl walk by and he just forgot forms! It was perfectly normal, right? But his former mentor was one of those 'scary' women. That huge Beast of a sword and he would have gone running back home if he didn't respect her and the others so much more. And Sahra. He missed her.

It was one of the pains of no longer being a Trainee. The woman he loved was off running about with Ursana and happily living a life in and out of the Yard doing light knew what. It made for a very lonely, not to mention bored!, Palfrey. It was enough to bring any man to tears, and he was getting close to that as well. Light forgive him if his eyes were to wander where his mind would often spend. Not that he wanted to bed 'every' woman of the Yard, he was no Aran, but he missed the companionship. Was that where it was often? No, he was well humored and after Kandor his humour took a turn for the worse. He actually had serious moments now! It pained him, really it did!

She caught his attention now. Her the pretty Tower Guard with no name, had his full attention and without thinking, as per usual, Conor strolled up and nearly knocked the girl over as she turned and did not see him. (Ah hA! He was still silent in his walk and better than her! He could sneak up on only so many Guards that he took victory where he could!) Barely a moment recovery Conor flashed her a rather saucy, very Palfrey!, grin.

    "How you doing?"

    (It came out totally wrong!)

    • Conor has a knack for doing something stupid. He says stupid things, does stupid things and usually doesn't think through on things to figure out if it was stupid or not. However, it's a charming trait if not mildly entertaining for friends.
    • Although he doesn't admit to it, he is actually very skilled with his sword and anything Hand-to-Hand. When he gets himself in trouble he usually comes out alive and fine but her considers it luck not skill. Usually its skill.
    • Conor is one of very few people that inspires trust in others. You always know where you stand and he will always be that faithful puppy that sprouts wings just because you asked him to. I consider this a talent as it is fairly rare especially among those in the Tower.
    • Conor can sing.

    Character History:

Andoran born to a very rich textile merchant, Conor’s father Davrin Palfrey (A single child himself - arrogant & never been of need or want) felt that the only way to shape up his wayward son was to enlist him in the Queens Royal Guard. His mother, Audrina Palfrey, was worse and cared very little for the son she gave birth to. It was not a loving family that Conor grew up in and shouting matches were as common as Silk in Arad Doman. Daily Conor retreated to the kitchens, stables (and when of an older age) a small tavern on the edge of Caemlyn. It was there he learned the lighter side of life through ale and women. But as his next name day was fast approaching, he needed a plan to avoid the path his parents were forcing on him.

“To Tar Valon.” He had thought, musing over an ale. “To study the Sword under the Light, like the Queen’s own Sons have.” Conor knew his history, and his studies, and it had always been tradition for the heirs of the Andorian Throne to study within the walls of the infamous White Tower. Heading home, Conor wasted no time in packing up a satchel of clothes, and a bag of crowns and left home, whistling a very happy tune.

Arriving at the Tower, well fed and refreshed from spending one last night in a paid room, Conor met up with the Mistress of Trainees, Ginae, and was promptly assigned to Cairma Vishnu as a mentor and his roommate was Mahiko, a lanky male Arafellian. Across from his room was Sahra Covenry and Fior. Unfortunately for Conor, these were not women that he was used to. Woman he knew were either cold hearted, like his mother, or arm tassels for coin. After his first meeting with Cairma, his view of women changed drastically and he felt very intimidated by them, especially those within the Tower. It hindered his ability to learn under Cairma, but yet with Mahiko, Fior and Sahra’s help, he was able to get over the worst of his apparent shyness and instead developed a fierce need to protect such strong women. His ties with these three trainees grew very close, especially him and Fior as they both shared the same mentor.

Over the course of the first few years, it was nothing just getting in shape, training, and the occasional visit to the Tavern Sahra once worked in. After a years time, Sahra convinced him to court one of the barmaids that was fairly close to Sahra named Susa. For a time it was good. On his days off he would go see her and they would talk and laugh, but as Fior’s relationship with Sahra developed, and her apparent attachment to her mentor Ursana, Conor grew more and more troubled and dissatisfied. He worried more over Sahra than he did over his own life. Susa took great offense to this and grew jealous of Conor's apparent “Love” for Sahra. Denying the possibility as Sahra was practically a sister, she only huffed and turned away. The relationship ended on a sour note. But instead of wallowing, he kept the pain deeply hidden and carried on as nothing happened. Shara however noticed this and, like the nosy gossip hound she was, wouldn’t settle until Conor could explain to her why her good friend Susa would no longer speak to her and why Conor would be seen practicing sword forms on his off days (which he never did before.)

“My priorities have changed.” Was all he would tell her at first, but as she persisted, he admitted that Susa felt jealous of her, Sahra, and left him. Not wishing to drag it on, Conor left Sahra and instead headed back out into the Yard to repeat every sword form Cairma taught him, making mistakes in each one.

Just before being raised in rank in he learned of Sahra's engagement and it hurt him dearly enough that he just could not watch her happiness and feeling as hurt. Taking his sword, ale jug, he took to the road. He wanted to serve Aes Sedai, not have his heart beaten into the floor.

After spending a good year on the road, and even joining the travelling circus for a few moon cycles, he returned to the White Tower and threw himself... literally, into his training. All his joking aside, and included, he picked up where he was before with a new focus and completed his training in a very short time. Even taking on students with his rather unique style of dual wielding and unarmed combat. Now that he's hit his prime and stride Conor is a common part of the Warders Yard as he struts that Palfrey! strut. Not letting no Sedai catch him. Nope nope!

  8. I’ve never seen someone do it. I suppose I’d want to see why they want it (is there a weave they want to do but can’t because their score limits them? Character development of pushing through to do something they didn’t think they could? Rp planned that would realistically push boundaries and make it happen?)

not it sure the practical part of what would been to be done ic for it. I know upping weapons score is mapped out but I have nothing on upping OP.

  9. The idea of the six post is that the six post was a minimum post for out of character requirements. So by having six classes or lessons you work into the system at least six replies so they can get their out of character requirements.

Requirements are all being reworked right now so it may not be necessary going forward to have that amount but I’m working closely with them on and we have an actually discussed those requirements yet we’re still discussing the main things. You could always  split one of the topics up into two classes so they have to reply twice, or you could add a activity. For the yellows we have them go to the garden and try to pick out poison plants and then plant their own. I’m not sure what the Reds could do

Yes, that makes sense... like everyone knows Reds don't bond Warders; we can explain why that is.

    Exactly :)

Its a good opportunity to show the Accepted that there is a softer more collective feel to the Aes Sedai when you are one of them. and it reinforces the idea of the Ajah being a collective Group/Unit. But obviously they aren't going to share anything too deep..they are Aes Sedai after all lol.

  11. My thoughts on the tradition this is that they would only disclose things that are very minor and don't have any real impact.. things like wearing a certain colour sock when leaving the Tar Valon, or explaining why the Yellow Halls are decorated so crazy - things someone could pick up on and don't really matter. I wouldn't say give out secret signals to eyes and ears or 'rules'.

  12. Aes Sedai Information and Links

Character Creation and Bio Format Information

Just as Aes Sedai in the Wheel of Time Series start out as Novices and work their way up through the ranks of Accepted to Aes Sedai, then join an Ajah, so must your 1st White Tower Character climb those ranks.

    1st Character Rules/Guildlines:

Here are few other things to take into consideration when preparing to write your bio:

    • Your 1st White Tower character must start out as a Novice.
    • You can create either a Traditional Novice or Salidar Novice. The PSW WT was not split, so all Novices will live in the White Tower together. The difference is that a Traditional Novice comes to the Tower between 13 years of age and 19 years of age, whereas a Non Traditional/Salidar Novice comes to the White Tower between 20years of age and 70 years of age.
    • All Novices need to be female; this is not to say that a male cannot make a female character and play her, for that is done often.
    • Your character cannot have the spark inborn unless the RGL has given her approval. This means she cannot 'channel', but she can 'learn to channel'.
    • Your character cannot be a true born Two Rivers character, this includes Emonds Field, Taren Ferry and the surrounding area
    • We will accept bios that say the character's family are refuges from (insert country name) and are now resident in the above areas.
    • Your character cannot be a Wilder
    • You can can create up to 3 channeling characters in the WT RP Group

For a full list of Rules and Guidelines on Character Creation please refer to the White Tower Website.

Another thing to be aware of, is that here in the White Tower RP Group we play our characters in what is called Retro. This means that when you are playing your Novice, you are basically going back in time to tell us what happened 'back when you were a Novice'.

Until your character meets the requirements to become an Aes Sedai, your character will not be allowed to participate in events in the Main Timeline.

When your character meets the requirements and becomes an Aes Sedai you can play her as she would be in the Main Timeline and you will be able to participate in RPs that revolve around current events with your character being fully Aes Sedai.

The only exception to this rule is if you are creating a Novice who comes to the White Tower during the Main Timeline. If you choose to have your Novice come to the White Tower in the Main Timeline you must be sure to play out modern events with your character as a Novice with limited channeling abilities and limited freedom to leave the White Tower Grounds.

The Bio Checker will read through your submission and either approve it or reply to help you work on making a well rounded, believable character. When the bio is approved it will be posted on the Biography Board and a Staff member from one of the other RP Groups will double check that your bio follows all the rules, and that your character is believable in the setting of our PSW.

When this is done, you will receive an email from the bio checker with some more information on the WT RP Group and a short Novice Test.
