First and foremost, I hope everyone is alright! That sounds like it was rough on pretty much everyone around you. Good on you for being where you were needed and supporting your loved ones, you're a real stand-up guy.

 

Second, we all 110% understand that life comes first. I wish I got to prioritize DM over everything else, but then I would starve to death and lose all my possession as they took back my house and everything in it lol. No one here will ever be upset when real life stuff takes priority, as we have all been there a time or two.

 

Third, we are all here for you if you need any moral support, I hope you feel like you can talk to at least some of us when you're having a hard time. Some of my very best friends who I go to for everything are from this site.

Three trolls have been spotted in the castle! Please help me find and defeat them!!

I'm sorry, I am a bit flustered, as I'm sure you may have guessed... You see... And I'm not quite sure how this may have happened... 

 

Alright, I'm just going to say it!

 

Somehow a Troll has gotten into Hogwarts!!!!

 

No, no, it's not Umbridge, don't worry, she is still to terrified of the centaurs to even venture within... I don't know how many kilometers is very far, but trust me, it's a long long way from here.

 

 

 

Anywhoo, we need to hunt down this troll!!

 

So, anyone who would like to volunteer to search for this troll, please post here. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How this game works:

I will be hiding images of Trolls in posts throughout Harry Potter Week threads.

Players will need to find them and quote the post here so we can see that you have indeed found the troll. 

Please include a fun way you defeated the troll, for points will be awarded for style!

I will then remove that image from that post that was quoted, for each troll can only be defeated once.

There will be 3 new trolls a day.

If needed, I will post hints, but I don't forsee those being needed, as there are not many threads to look through.

Welcome new students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!!

I am Adella, and I am the Headmistress of Hogwarts for this week, as we at DragonMount like to take over the castle on occasion. Please, come in and find a seat at an unmarked table, you will be able to be sorted into your houses shortly. But, first I have just a bit of information and a few rules, as is standard for the beginning of a new year (or week) at Hogwarts.

First, the Forbidden Forest is absolutely open to students, because it always seemed like a fun place for Potter and his friends to go.

Second, Harry Potter Week is a very long standing tradition of the Blue Ajah, and we put a lot of love and care into it every year, so please participate in each thread as much as you would like. We do have a couple of new teachers on the staff for the week, so please do your best in the following classes:

Ithillian Turambar will be teaching our Divination Class

Dar'Jen Ab Owain will be leading us through this years Owl Post

Turin Turambar has volunteered to help us with our skills with the Pensieve

Cross is our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, may she have a long reign

Adella is leading us on a Troll Hunt throughout the castle

And lastly, don't miss the only annual White Tower mafia game hosted by Shad and Adella

Background on Harry Potter week, the Blue Ajah used to be know at the "Harry Potter Ajah" because it so happened that several of it's members were very passionate about both The Wheel of Time and Harry Potter. For a time this took over at the theme for the whole Ajah, and it was great fun and embraced as such. Maybe Daruya will step in here and tell us more about when Harry Potter Week started and how many years it has been going, because I believe it started before I was even a member on DragonMount. The fun doesn't stop there!!! We will be using this thread to sort you into your Houses! Dicetosser1 will be along to assist us with that shortly (the poor guy had to work around my schedule). Dumbledore's Army

It seems that you, too, are upset with the tyrannical rule of Professor Dolores Umbridge, and would like to learn how to fight back. Excellent! This is just the place for that! First, let's check out our secret clubhouse fort lair. The Room of Requirement lets us come and go as we please, giving us everything we need to practice our spells.

Now, this room has to remain a secret, because she has gathered her own Inquisitorial Squad, whose only mission is to find us out. It's alright, don't worry, we have developed our own method off communication so we know when to gather *reaching into my pocket I pull out what looks like a galleon... but upon further inspection, it has some strange markings on it. The symbol of the DA!*

With that, you pocket your coin and join in on the practice. This is harder work than you first imagined, but it feels good to go actual magic again, outside of Umbridge's ban on casting actual spells. As time goes by, everyone in the DA seems to be moving along well with their practice, and we all have a firm grasp on at least the basics of each spell.

It wasn't destined to last though....

It was a normal day of practice, or so it seemed, but there was something ominous in the air today.

Just as someone cast "reducto!" a booming crash sounded throughout the room, and the safely barred door splintered. We don't know how, but they have found us.

As the door was rammed again, a hole opened up in the floor, dropping everyone into a tunnel that took us deep beneath the castle.

The Room of Requirement was trying to save us!!

Landing all in a heap at the bottom of this winding tunnel, in the belly of the castle where it seemed no one had been for years, Harry Potter

stood up and announced, "someone has betrayed us!" With that, everyone jumped to their feet and started looking suspiciously

at those who minutes ago had been your most trusted of friends. Unfortunately, no one was wearing a sign that read

!!!!TRAITOR!!!!

We were going to have to use other means to find out who among us was working for Umbridge. In the mean time, we need to explore this place...

Cheers! We now have 13 players, which means nothing major needs to be changed to start this. Expect roles to go out some time tonight once I coordinate with Adella. :)

The Blue Ajah's annual Harry Potter Week festivities are scheduled to begin Sunday July 30th, y'all, and it's time to start the signups for our yearly mafia game.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:

This is the only mafia game allowed to be held in the White Tower Social Group, because our staff does. not. like. drama... and drama seems to follow a game where people lie to one another and try to commit murder. Imagine that.

In order to keep this annual tradition, I must ask you all one thing.
