My logic that there wouldn't be a SK poisoner and a town healer makes perfect sense because the SK would never achieve his wincon if his kills can be nullified.

As I told tress: Pral is either an investigator/important PR or scum, and if I'm catching the PR hints correctly he isn't a good lynch. Let night actions deal with him. If Turin flips scum it points to Pral being scum instead of a town PR.

Also, not sure why you are assuming we have a healer. Maybe Csarmi is trying to run a gambit? Why would you even begin to believe that claim? Does not fit with how you have responded to claims in the past. What you *should* know - and all you should know - is that someone got poisoned. You are experienced enough that when you see someone is poisoned, the first version of poisoner you should think of is the absolute most common one - third party poisoner. It would be like seeing a flip with a slit throat. Would you start talking about how there's probably a vig?? Or would you go with common thought and assume we likely have an SK? Sure, that's a straw man but it is absolutely applicable here.

I would wonder why you'd think that A) there is def third party B) third party would be rollin' with scum and C) why you'd think poisoner would be a 3rd party roll and not a scum roll since a 3rd party kill is typically SK.

Look, I'm trying to determine your alignment. And I'm trying to determine how others determined your alignment. There's nothing narrow minded about that.

 

I will concede that it appears you guys [per TG - the one poisoned] do not assume 3rd party poisoner. So I'll withdraw that point. It just struck me as odd. Also, as I reread that weird narrative, I feel like I'm not really sure WHAT you are saying about the poisoner anymore. Your logic is pretty circular there. Are you saying you think the poisoner is scum or third party or 2nd faction or what? I'm confused.

I can see it being several ways, and they're based on two assumptions:

 

1) Salami really is the town healer

2) TG really is the town miller

 

Because I believe both of those to be true.

 

So here are the possible mechanical combinations:

 

1) Scum has night kill + poisoner and town has healer. If this is true then the scum team is almost certainly a little smaller than we would expect.

 

2) Poisoner is third or SK as you suspect. It's plausible but I think it makes being an SK even harder because not only is their kill delayed, but it can be nullified completely.

 

3) Poisoner is town vig variant and town has a healer to reduce town derp shots or something.

 

Now who would shoot claimed miller TG?

 

In my opinion scum almost never would, because as the game goes on that paranoid urge to "resolve" the claim will grow and Meri doesn't look particularly pro-town anyway. I wouldn't poison TG on N1 if scum because TG hasn't been around, has a claim with inherent WIFOM, and scum would know he his exact role anyway. Not a useful kill.

 

Would third party kill TG? A serial killer might because it's the correct play as SK to kill town on n1 to keep numbers balanced. But imagine if salami didn't claim and his kills keep getting healed in secret. Terrible. I dunno if cory would make it that hard on an SK which is already extremely hard to win as.

 

Town Vig? That shot on TG makes sense. It's not IDEAL but it at least gets the potential late game WIFOM out of the way.

 

So yeah I have a hard time understanding why scum would target TG n1 or why SK would have a healer counterpart but with this flavor theme idk what town role would be able to poison people. So maybe we just have a deep scumteam or there's something more to the mechanics we don't know about yet.

 

Either way not immensely useful to discuss instead of the players.
