alright, i've seen this thrown around a few times, but what does Frozen mean? is it a reference to that disney movie i've yet to see, or are you mafia and putting him on ice?

 

 

 

It means the player is "oh shit I don't know what to say, better hear with the guys in the QT". It has turned into a tiresome buzzword to be as lock!cool as some of the players from other sites. Its a yawn and nothing to worry about.

And re: "scummy skimmer is scummy". I'm starting to see a pattern. You will quote my post and then add that its scummy afterwards. Do you really think I'm scum or are you just adding it to look like you are hunting? I try to cultivate a common meta as town and mafia (it improves my mafia game, and game overall)

Petty but a thing I do.

I like to try keep myself in check so I can be a better player overall

 

It helps hide me regardless of alignment or PR, so far it seems to work

 

 

I don't think that's petty- in fact to me it's plain and simple common sense to try and make your scum and town metas as similar as possible.

 

In general, I play mafia like the Spurs play basketball- I try and remove as many competitive disadvantages as possible. If your opponent has a harder time using meta against you, it's better in the long run (for both alignments- since that way scum can't try to lead a mislynch on you if you seem to be on your "scum meta")

My vote does not reflect my in-brain real time thought process. I do not change votes during arguments to match my current thoughts because they can change from post to post to post in the heat of the moment. I voted you primarily to get your attention and see how you would respond to me. I think your response is misguided but PROBABLY not scum driven because you're so convinced in your own theories that you're spinning everything I do or say to support them. That's more likely to be town Des because I THINK scum Des would have trouble with my rage. Therefore, you pass the tone meter.

 

But I haven't read barely any of the thread and don't know who to vote. That's why I asked you for your help and to consider the game from the perspective of me being town. Please please PLEASE reason with me.

 

I don't have a single thing going for me other than passion and sincerity. I don't know enough about the game to call people out other than my thin reads:

So I prefer to not vote these people today. From the remainder, who has been scummiest? I see talk of Vos, RTE, but I don't know the details. This is why I asked you for your understanding, because I'm way behind and I think trying to prevent my own lynch is the most beneficial thing I can do right this second because I know for a fact I am town and if I can prevent my own lazy lynch, then I should. Nobody even has to draw lines and take stances on me due to what happened with Cory, I'm basically a free lunch. Preventing that scenario where town gains almost zero information from my death is my top priority. After that, I can start getting into the game.

 

I hope that makes sense because that's my thought process.

Fun because I got to see myself proven sooooo right in some cases and soooooo wrong in others.

 

 

Alright, got a good grip on this game however. And you know the funny thing? I used to think big game hunting really only applied to mafia NK's, since I thought the idea of mafia actively trying to get a good townie lynched didn't make any sense (as that kind of preplanning usually isn't that smart on the mafia team, can expose you if it fails like if the target claims a vettable role or something.

 

But, like so many other things, I have come to change my mind about it. Especially after seeing the way this game has unfolded. Imo the scummers are MOST CERTAINLY big game hunting today. Like Wombat, initially having the mini-thunderdome with Cory then switching to me for poopoo reasons. Red, for trying to set up a thunderdome with me and Tommy (cause she thinks her scumbuddy Tommy will win and she thinks this counts as distancing, lawlz). Tommy, for well obvious reasons.

 

All I gotta say to the scummy scummy big game hunters is:

Honestly this is bad reasoning and you should understand that I didn't know FOR SURE you were scum nor do I ever know FOR SURE. Even when I was quite sure on Cory I wasn't willing to die for it just in case I was wrong. Being 90% convinced is okay. Being 100% convinced is often bad. Hey everyone!!!!  It's a READ UPDATE!!!!  From the Myndrunner Global Mafia Network!

 

Town (in no particular order) 

 

Vos - I hate to place someone in the Town category because of someone ELSE's posts, but here we go.  Prior to Red's onslaught, I had a slight town read on Nervosito.  He's not pushing for much but he's also not letting anything slip by either.  Red's attack makes me feel very good about Vos in this game.  He's looking big picture with pro-town posts like this here.

 

 

 

Slightly Town (in no particular order)

 

Wombat - The only think keeping me from putting Womby in my Town category is that he usually comes at me harder when truly scumhunting.  Granted, I haven't been startling the snakes like I used to.  I disagree with his take on Despo, but townies don't need to agree to be pro-town.  The dude is business.

 

Lenlo - Waiting for Lenlo to thaw.....though freezing players is not a pro-town role.  Can't move him either way until he can post again.

 

Despo - I felt like Despo's posts during the ugliness were more for levity.  He's now back in the game and I can't say I disagree with his reads at this point.   He's participating more than most which could mean scum, but his posts are making sense to me. 

 

Darthe - Kinda the same vibe I am getting from Despo, I almost even got a couple of their posts confused.  Hasn't done any real casing yet, but I think he was kinda trying to wait for the ugliness to die down.  This might change if he does something squirrelly and I've town-read him before when he was scum, but for now....town.  Sorta.

 

Quibby - Placing Quibbs in this category makes me nervous because he's evil incarnate, but in this game, he's acting like a scumhunter.

 

Nyn - Almost just want to place her in the scum pile just because.  I agree with her reads on Tommy and Tsukitup 

 

 

 

Null and Boring (in no particular order) 

 

TGlems - HEY!!!! THERE IS A GAME GOING ON HERE!!!!! YOOOHOOO!!!!

 

Zer0 - Trivia Question: Whose name equals the number of posts and contributions they've had in this game?

 

Pral - This is actually his playstyle, so I wouldn't say boring but a definite null read at this time.  I'm gonna have to gauge him more on his voting patterns rather than posts at this point.  My only other real interaction prior to this game was when Cory told me he was vig so...yeah.

 

 

 

Slightly Scum (in no particular order)  

 

Myndrunner - anyone who isn't at least slightly suspicious of me is likely scum!

 

Dawnflower - When Dawn is more active than you, either she's scum or you suck at mafia.  I'm leaning scum, possibly has her team coaching her, but at this point its just a read.  No real evidence.  I actually don't blame her for the Cory vote.  Still, scum feeling here. If she starts acting more....well.....Dawnish....then I will feel better.

 

Pianoplayer - He seems a bit self conscious about his meta.  I don't like that.   His vote on RTE here seemed opportunistic, but then he goes BLAH BLAH BLAH SCUM READ BLAH BLAH before unvoting RTE without a reason. 

 

 

 

SCUM SALAD! (in order of scumminess)

 

Tommyrooni - At first, I felt like Tommy really meta'd a scum cory, but then it just turned into ugliness.  His finger pointing sounded more like projection to me.  When cory flipped town, he tried to deflect the heat my way, then just kinda went paranoid himself.  Have we even heard from his hydra partner?  WE SHOULD LYNCH ALL THE HYDRAS!!!! ;)  ....oh now he is mad. 

 

ReleaseTheEvil - I really don't like his overreaction and paranoia when he only had two votes on him.  Many of us have been at L-2 or even L - 1 and didn't flinch this bad.  I'd like to see his casings.   Posts like THIS ONE do not a townie make.

 

Tsukibana - Acted aloof until pressed. Now defensive but not providing any actual casing or scumhunting.  He's really doing nothing I would consider pro-town.  The Tsuki I have seen before is much more of a casing specialist.  This is not that Tsuki.  He Tsucks at it in this game.

 

Red - Always famous for TL:DR (Too Long, Didn't Red)  but I actually read them.  A town Red starts off with thinking everyone scum.  This is not a town Red.  She isn't reading the thread, she is reacting to it.  Also, how can I be opportunistic on Cory when I actually was the lead vote? And MY case on RTE?  I didn't vote him.  I just called him out for being paranoid.  Maybe your own posts are TOO LONG, EVEN RED DIDN'T READ.

Well, sucks what Cory did and what happened with him. FWIW, I had a scum read on him till the point he quoted his role PM. Mainly because he was emo way too early on the game. Like he did in Real Genius. But which he didn't do in Buffy (not so early)

 

That said, as of now, my two suspicions.

 

 

Also, people seem to be taking RTE's OP out of context and I think that's why the votes on him started.  It's null imo.  His reaction to the pressure has been kinda crappy imo, but that

's also kinda null for me atm as RTE is pretty scummy and flippant every time I see him play.  Kind of like a more spastic Lenlo.

I get goosepricks everytime I see Wombat defending someone using their meta. He does that somewhat as scum. Mainly a meta read.

I don't think I've ever played with Corey before

But I appreciate the case on him and respect the three people voting him (all three don't tend to play very tight games)

However I really dislike RTes reveal and don't think his train will continue given the new momentum on Corey

- wombat and cory's thunderdoming earlier appeared came out of no where, lacked any real conviction (ie felt forced) and came out looking like an early distancing gambit.

 

- RTE's "i'm town too guys" coupled with the early reveal with 2 votes on him.

 

- Vos's apparent flip floping on his read on Cory to fence sit on cory's alignment. the whole "i'm leaning scum but i suck at reading him" and his wagon vote on RTE felt opportunistic

 

- Tsuki's "inactivity" push and calling out Dawn being coached, then the 3rd person "explanation" weak sauce post

 

and finally

 

- Despo for many reasons

* linkage of numerous players

* setting up future lynches

* distraction stuff with Cory about AtE

* linking Darth and Daw together and claiming Darth was caching Dawn on the game thread

 

I was in the bathroom a little bit ago and was looking around for toilet paper, and too bad I didn't see this post then cause it would have been the perfect thing for me to wipe my heiney with

 

- I too thought the initial spatter between Wombat and Cory could have mebbe been a gambit, but after Cory's maneuver it was instantly apparent that this wasn't the case. Yet Red still lists it here as if that could have still been a possibility. Distancing with Wombat? Or just her repeating the things she thinks she's supposed to have mentioned without actually hashing them out further? Stay tuned

 

- goes back over the RTE OP and subsequent Vos vote on RTE. I would have expected Red to come to a decision here on which event was actually moar significant. Her just repeating both again reeks of that "Repeat that stuff I pointed out so it looks like I'm being consistant". It's true, that inconsistency is a scumtell, for obvious reasons. But a townie is still willing to adapt their reads as the game goes along. Red makes clear here that she's not doing that

 

- Tsuki stuff is meh, I dunno I just haven't seen anything significant from him yet. Speaking of which, I didn't quote it but I found Nyn's sudden focus on Tsuki to be out of nowhere

2. Setting up future lynches - SHOW ME where I did this Red. I call complete and utter bullshanks

3. Distraction stuff with Cory about AtE - uh no, I wasn't trying to distract anyone. Cory is an emotional player, but he's also good at AtE as he showed in a recent game where he won as a SK, but made the game generally less enjoyable for everyone else while doing so. I was trying to keep the game from going that direction again. I failed. /shrug

4. linking Darthe and Dawn and saying Darthe was coaching Dawn - here goes that linking thing again lol (seriously, anyone who doesn't see Red's case against me as insanely forced is dumb or scum). Dawn was parroting what everyone else was saying, but her "Your defense isn't good Cory" didn't seem like something derpDawn would say, so I thought she might be being coached, and I remember Darthe giving her an "Attaboy" not too long ago. The point I made wasn't that far fetched, and certainly wasn't scummy
