Or, you know, hopefully stay in the Mafia-QT, since we are all assuming Des is scum. Or?

In my games I give scum the option to stay in qt

The theory of special relativity set the speed limit for the universe and it helped us to bridge the inconsistency between the Electricity & Magnetism and Newton's Laws.  It did all this while remaining consistent with classical mechanics (aka Newton's Laws) because, in the case when things are moving slowly, special relativity takes the form of classical mechanics.  In order to do accurate calculations for satellite communication and GPS special relativity must be taken into account.  If it weren't GPS would be consistently wrong.  And yet, for all the importance of the theory of special relativity, it never won a Nobel Prize.  Instead Einstein won the prize for the photoelectric effect.  Why couldn't special relativity get a fair shake even though it is one of the most important and well verified theories of our time?  Blame it on politics.  When forces converged to deny special relativity a prize it couldn't defend itself.  Science can only inform policy and decisions, it can't alter politics of wars.  And thus, special relativity will forever be the most recognized theory in physics and yet never be recognized with a Nobel.

Dap has been off both lynches that's very odd.

 

Chae still scummy for previous reasons.

 

Lily null read

 

Amegs post is raising suspicion, and his dramatic change of posting style.

 

Lenlo's tying up the trains with deadline approaching day one still looks scummy.

 

Vos with all those posts I made had me leaning scum there.

 

Ice/Dawn/Wolverine need to post more

 

Nolder is playing really clean this game. Townie vibe there.

He's played very clean. I never said he was clean.

 

He's had posts that seem well thought out, sound reasoning, and thoughtful rebuttals. He's played a very clean game. I don't think I've saw a miss step. Which in and of it's self may mean he has extra knowledge then a normal townie should.

So what do you think of him? Right now you are saying "He is townie, but he could be scum" which means nothing.

I think later in the game, we will look back and find the scum amongst the people working hardest at twisting the course of the game, and as I read it, Wombat and Jack is pretty darn high up on that list.

 

 

Usually. Even better if neither is necessary.

How come? Isn't coroner reports towns number one advantage at finding mafios? One uncoronered dead player and we'll have no knowledge of how many is left, nor any clues regarding said players play so far, votes etc? As far as I can see, better two dead confirmed town than one unconfirmed dead?

Just dropping in to say sorry for not following up with my reads list and lack of proper commitment these days. Lots of shit hitting the fan, so to speak. I'll try to get it done today but no promises, unfortunately.

 

We're in a very interesting position here with the votes. Lots of different votes all over the place. Will make D1 interesting to look back on later with some flips.

 

The down side is that the biggest train is 3 votes out of 8, and a little less than 7 hours until deadline. NL will result in a no-coroner mod-kill, so we should certainly try to avoid that.

 

Really put out by all the policy-BS clouding this thread (no pun intended Cloud). Do this, do that, don't do this. Mentoring in a game like this is pointless as you'll never know who has who's best interest at heart.

 

Especially wierded out at Nolder giving me a hard time and a lecture for just providing one sentence explanation, saying that everyone else is not mind-readers... one should always explain ones vote with a logic case. And then he drops a unvote vote cloud out of the blue? Not even sure what to say here.

 

 

 

1. We know wombat was town.

 

2. Lynch two townie thing is odd

 

3. Subtle push to me. Subtle defense of cloud

 

So far, no. 3 is the only tangible here. 

 

 

 

1. Jack_D - Slightly FoS'd Kronos for asking about the slot 11 thing, then doing the same to Amega for his comment on it. Calling out Clouds vote on him as opportunistic. Finally after a while moved his vote over to me on actions from several pages ago with nothing new to go on, still claiming I haven't given a reason for my vote. Jumps at me not because of the reason but for the seemingly random delay. Claims he is not anti-town(?). I still think he is guilty of some hefty misreps and annoying play, but haven't focused too much here, since I think he is very much town.

1. I never FoS'd wbk. That's reaching on your part. I put slight pressure the first opportunity it provided itself and went after everything that happened around the incident while trying to draw everyone in to gauge their reactions.

 

2. Again it wasn't for your total lack of reasoning in general, it was for the lack of reasoning initially and then the parroting of others reason.

 

3. Not heavy misreps, misinterpretation possibly but posts can be taken in any direction. If I ever saw something I didn't like I posted it and the reasons why, and how it looked to me.

 

Side note: Annoying but effective. Was correct about cloud and wombat for the record.

 

All in all that was an exercise in futility. I'm just bored as you think I'm town, and I think there are scummier people then yourself. Although those quotes I posted earlier were a little off.

 

Desp and Chae are my number 1 and 2 for scum. If Desp is scum, lily is as well. Just my thoughts.

So here you conclude I am... not as scummy as other people, based on "those quotes you posted earlier", which I assume is the ones I have above?

And after Des' flip, speed-trained from hell and back, you just decided I am now scum? Based on those quotes?

 

I dun' get it. I am scum because I don't want to mod-kill the new players while they are catching up, and because I thought maybe wombat would be scum and cloud would be town? So I got it wrong day 1. Yet all the people speed-training day 2 and got it wrong is ok, because you were wrong too, mr. "Town leader"?

 

Not really concerned about your read on me, but unless you can sum up why you think I'm scum, big FoS on you for tunneling me since the very start of the game

I'll give a summation of your posts and why I think your scum. But since you haven't done anything to alleviate why should I not be suspicious of you? Because I had a magical epiphany? Des was a good lynch, he played horribly, and only thing he contributed really is snide comments on how people suck and who is obvscum and why town was stupid for lynching him. If he wasn't scummy a train wouldn't of built so fast.

2. If actually attempting to play the game is scummy go for it.m, Lynch me, but ask yourself this. Why cause a ruckus when I could play it chill. And you see it as an in joke? How so? I've not played with Kronos and his "Why so?" Question was directed at me. Hmmmm

3. So you can hear posts on dm? They speak to you? It doesn't read as jumpy is what you meant, and that's just silly cause if you can't see someone's expression or hear their voice you wouldn't know if it was jumpy or not. Can be perceived as one or the other.

Not liking how fast Jacks train started to build, but Vos's vote was really freakin weak. It's D1, I know, but st the time he made it he hadn't posted any reasons for the vote. FoS for that.

I want the day to run abit longer before votin though, get some more things goin on.

 

I think with 14 players, it's abit early to start dramatizing Jacks train? It has 3 votes.

2) Seriously though look at what hes voting Vos for. Hes mocking Vos's own lack of reasoning for voting Jack with how he did his vote. With Wombat atleast it was obvious to my why he was voting, cause of Vos's incredibly weak reasons for voting Jack. He just did it in a smartass way, something I can appreciate.

You are claiming you don't want an essay. But you don't want short sentences either. I get that you want what you want, but do you scum-read based on it? Some people posts WoTs. Some people don't read them. My first vote on Jack was because I found his quoted "case" extremely weak, and said so when I voted. when unclear I explained. Then he twisted the events, which I found scummy, and said so, so I changed my vote back to him. Then my vote didn't fit with your preference for exactly how long you want a vote, so you FoS me?

 

I've seen some of the most helpful townies vote with a sentence, and I've seen scum make painfully long WoTs.

 

Unless I'm just the scapegoat of a broader pet peeve of yours, in which case you can start a debate in the main forums if town should by default always write at least six sentences when casting a vote.

 

For both of my votes I've given an understanding where I'm coming from. If unclear to you, you are welcome to ask and I will respond in greater depth why said vote was cast. If you think that is scummy by default then fine, we'll agree to disagree on that.

 

Finally in this quote and the post right above it (not in my post it was very long and trying to keep this minimal) you elaborated

I'm not gonna pursuit this whole vos-"weak"-sidetrack further. I've heard your opinions, voiced mine and now we're just distracting with dead-horse-beating. I've been led around by scum D1 before and not interested in doing that again.

 

Also really not interested in Nolder opening with "DM needs a better class of townies" then going on to lecture everyone else how they should play. Not sure if it's just the way he is or scum trying to position himself as "town leader". I'll see if I can come up with more during re-read/reads list. Or see how it plays out.

Not much to it. I think your getting defensive when the attention you gained suddenly started getting you votes quickly. Your "go ahead and lynch me" seems like scummy taunting, then wifom'ing yourself (if I was scum, would I), then third point over-emphasized. Instead of explaining you post a whole ridicule-chirade to make it sound absurd, instead of just wrong.

I'm gonna let this lie. Other players are welcome to chip in on Jacks case on me if they want, but I just thought I'd quote this to have it present. This is the explanation Jack refuses to aknowledge. 

 

This is also my reply to Wombat. I have probably misunderstood, but I took both Wombat and Lilys votes as joke-votes (this is page 4, by the way), as they voted my "weak" with "weak".

Buss is what lily would of been doing if she is mafia. By hammering him and throwing him under the buss. I was second vote on his train and I pushed at him all day. ^^ you are the one the known mafia defended.

 

I'm not building town cred. I'm stating facts in retort to Des saying I played a bad game.
