What about music and books? Those are entertainment too.. or does a different org have the rights to those? Not that I've got alot to say on them, but if this is the entertainment org, maybe we should include more forms of entertainment. Televised sports could be another topic which could attract interest... Theatre perhaps less so. :)

Books I am pretty sure is taken. Music I am fine with, I just do not know much about it and would need someone else to help lead discussions.

Perhaps the name should be changed from the 'Entertainment Org' to the 'Visual Arts and Entertainment Org'...

 

It seems to me that a lot of folks post threads on all of these topics to the General Boards anyway.

I say we take over all forms of entertainment WITH FORCE! Lets raid the other forums and move all the threads related to entertainment to our forum and leave trail links in their place. Then we shall truly have WAR!!! MWAAHAHAHA! :twisted:

Lol, don't know if that's necessary. But if we wanna discuss music or books, we'll do that. Yeah, the Band called dibs on music, but Seanchan called dibs on entertainment before the band was even a DG. :P

I notice other boards posting movie or tv topics. One of my plans for 2007 is to make people more aware of what we do and try to drive those kind of discussions to our board as the threads will get much more attention and probably a better discussion. I think book discussions will spring up anywhere on DM, as this is a book related site. Yes the Browns have a right to this discussion, but then again you have to be in the WT org to even see the Brown board. Music used to be a part of the Seanchan but I could never get good participation out of topic. I would say that whenever you see a discussion that you think could be on the Seanchan board, post on the topic and let them know where the experts are. I noticed 4 different threads on BSG when it started this season on different boards and wondered what it be like if all 4 threads could have been one major discussion.

You can just show up and start Yappin if you so choose, to join just use the whole usergroup feature at the top right, Empy has to approve you, but thats only technical details, he WILL approve you, so don't worry.
