What happened to the aMoL board?

I like the structued discussion board and all, but why has the "A Memory Of Light" board bean axed?

It did not really serve any purpose to have a board only allowing discussions regarding a book that will not be published for at least another year. Especially not since most people didn't care about the board being dedicated to AMOL, and discussed the exact same things as they discuss on this board, just without the threads about movies, games and whatnots.

 

So the AMOL board has more or less been merged with this board. it might reappear once we get a definite publishing date, who knows.

Where did you get this information? As much as I wish that were true the fact is that even before RJ got sick the projected release date for AMoL was late 2007 or early 2008. However, with RJ's illness slowing him down TOR is now projecting a release date some time in 2009 at the earliest.

 

Are you sure your source didn't say February 2008? That would have been a feasible projected release date at one time, but with RJ's illness even that sourse would be antiquated.
