What do you guys think of this addition to the franchise. I so far am not too impressed with it (although I just started)

Don't usually play racing games (although I used to when I was younger) but I have been watching an LP of this game on youtube and I think it's awesome. This may be because I'm not actually playing the game and that I like the LPer's personality though.
