Serious Bela Question

I am starting a reread, and it appears that Rand did more than cleanse Bela, does anyone think he may have permantly increased her speed and stamina?

I think RJ just threw Bella into the mix so he would be prepared in case WOT merchandice ever went mass market. It is important in this event to have a cute, fuzzy animal in the story becuase what little tyke wouldn't love to have his/her very own plush Bella doll.

I always assumed it was the samething too, but this time through it seemed differant.

With all his heart and desperation he silently shouted at Bela to run like the wind, silently tried to will strength into her...And Bela Ran.

That is when he did whatever to her.

Stout Bela ran with neck outstretched and tail and mane streaming in the wind of her running, matching the larger horses' every stride. The Aes Sedai must have done something more than simply ridding her of fatigue.

That was after Moiraine cleansed the animals. It just seems to me that Bela received extra benefits.

could have been something akin to unconscious genetic alteration. Nothing specific like gene manipulation, but just coaxing her body to its full potential.
