A way around the three oaths (a fun type of thread )

When did the AS start using the oath rod? I sure I read that its been much longer than the end of Hawkwings empire, maybe even before the Trolloc Wars. If it did start to be used during or after the TW it could explain why no one caught on to it life halving properties coz that knowledge went up in smoke and with the eternal fighting going on I doubt many Aes Sedai would reach 300 years let alone surpass it

Never thought of amnesia thats a good one, but having it would they infact remember that they could channel do you think?

Aes Sedai have shown that they can use the power to punish people (AS to Accepted and Novices) and to cause minor pain/harm (switching or pinching people with air).  Since they can do this within the constraints of the three oaths, I'd like to think that, if needed, an AS could "punish" someone to within an inch of their life.

could Aes sedai make a skimming platform disappear with people on it? Technically they won' t die from the fall and if well provisioned could last quite a while.

 

And can they attack Aelfinn and Eelfinn?

No. She can be mistaken, because there is no Oath against that. If she thinks what she says is true, she can say it, and it is not a lie.

They could attack the Finns if they believed they were Shadowspawn, or were a threat to their lives. Making a skimming platform disappear is doubtful, unless they had it in mind to rescue the person. Most AS would probably consider it using the power as a weapon.
