Vote SH for previously stated reasons.

Vote Graendal

Puttin' my money where my mouth is. I'm on record and happy for anyone to review it.

I am also interested in everyone else's opinion. We have far too many lurkers in this game and a silent townie isn't helping anyone but the mafia.

Right now, I'd like to see how the new SH approaches his defense. It does look pretty bad for him that Moridin would come out and defend him like that, but I'm getting the vibe that it might have been a scum ploy that backfired. I don't get why a scum team would risk outing two of themselves on day 1 on that type of a play. Add to that the three quick votes that came right at the start of the day, and I'm not convinced that he's scum.

I'm terribly sorry about all the mishaps I've been having lately. Perhaps the Great Lord found it amusing to influence me so. He has chosen to restore me to my former awe-inspiring self, however.

You can all kiss the ground I walk on, now.

I shall be telling you what I think soon, after I've had a moment to review everything in a more sound frame of mind.

All right. Not a comprehensive guide to the inner workings of my mind, by any means, but this will do to start with.

I am fairly certain at this point that Graendal is who she says she is. As far as I am able to recall, the vast majority of her posts since things started getting serious have been fairly sound and I haven't seen all the holes in her logic that some other people have pointed out. Overall, I think she's making a lot of sense and I have her pegged as town. If I were to vote to lynch her, it would be for information purposes only and not because I think she is scum.

As for myself, I don't actually know why Moridin did what he did in defense of me, but I can take a pretty good guess. It's not a new theory, by any means. I believe that Moridin saw an opportunity to defend a townie and took it. This would have added merits if you bear in mind that I was acting quite...peculiarly...during much of the previous day. If I behaved scummily enough, I would have been lynched, flipped town, and Moridin would have claimed he was pretty awesome for seeing I was town when everyone else was blinded by their stupidity. Etc. You get the idea. And then I believe that the flip side is that if he ended up being lynched instead (which he did), his flip would heavily incriminate me due to how I'd been acting.

This is mere speculation, but I think that if I had acted less scummy, Moridin may have been less willing to commit to tying himself to me with his actions.

And that's all I have just now. I have an idea of who I wish to vote for, but I'm holding off for the moment while I finish getting my bearings.

Must be tough replacing into this situation. Sorry about that. But I'm fairly sure you're scum. I'm going to put this in bold so that the skimmers can see why they should vote for you, too.

Why you should all vote for SH:

We started a train on Moridin because of his weird defending of Rand Haran. We lynched him because we caught out his fakeclaim. Now, if Moridin was mafia, it stands to reason that he would be defending his team mate. This is the most obvious reason for a mafioso to defend somebody else.

It is possible that he was defending a townie in an attempt to make the townie look bad. However, I think that this is quite unlikely. Moridin was not seen as being scummy at the time, so his defense of SH wouldn't necessarily make SG look bad. Moridin was actually under no pressure at all, and had no reason to try and drag somebody down with him. (If this was his play, then - to repeat an analogy I've made before - it's like trying to assassinate somebody by first shooting yourself in the head. The mafia can't afford to kamikaze their way through the game, it's simple maths - there are more townies than there are mafia.)

Now, who was under pressure at that time? SH was, because he had inadvertently revealed his identity. Moridin was rushing to try and take some of the pressure of SH, and was lynched for it, and turned out to be scum. The psychology here suggests that Moridin didn't want SH to be lynched, and the only reason a mafioso wouldn't want another player lynched is because that player is on their team.

This is fundamental mafia play. Mafia try to lynch townies. Townies try to lynch mafia. The mafia, therefore, do not try to save townies from a lynch. SH is scum.

Convinced, Sammael and the rest of you doubters?

That being said, Graendal is pushing way harder than necessary.

How so?

For the moment, I think you're town. However, your focus on Graendal isn't helping us. If SH turns out to be town, I might be willing to revisit my position.

Revealing as vanilla town on Night 1 is straight up anti-town.

Firstly, anti-town is not the same thing as scummy. Townies can play badly, and Graendal arguably did not need to reveal when she did. However, that does not mean she's scum. The only way claiming at night helps scum is if a townie does it. (Scum already know all of their own roles; they are simply unsure as to where the power roles are in the town, which is why people shouldn't claim unnecessarily.)

Secondly, your voting for this reason is hypocritical. You were the one who backed off Moridin's case, unvoted, and asked for no counterclaims when Moridin claimed Doc. How is that pro-town? If you had wanted no counterclaims because you thought Moridin was obviously fakeclaiming, then you wouldn't have unvoted. You would have wanted to lynch the obvious scum. Instead, you just wanted to keep your teammate alive a bit longer; now you're trying to lynch a townie. We should lynch you tomorrow.
